Care More, Car-Less is an Earth Ministry program aimed at mobilizing faith communities to reduce the number of single occupant vehicles and to encourage advocacy and environmental stewardship. These images are from a Care More, Car-Less Sunday at Fauntleroy First United Church of Christ on October 12th, 2014. Since we started carpooling, my life has changed. Now I arrive at work at roughly the same time every day and rush to get everything done so I can get a ride home. And considerably cheaper now that I don't have to pay for BART 5 days a week.
As we are winding down on the Kiandu, I wanted to take this opportunity to show both Allie and Dan how good it can taste as they have had limited success on their one. So I made a Chemex at home, filled my crazy handmade mug, and brought it along for the ride. I think they liked it.
I´m going to end up drinking this whole thing myself. So much for keeping the caffeine in control.

CarSawaari is logical and simple way for commute to office. Join this with a cities like Mohali, Mumbai,Chandigarh,Hydrabad, Bangalore, Noida, Gurgaon where a large number of IT employees work at far away IT parks. It then makes natural sense to carpool and commute with ease, save time and save cost.
In spite of this, there is NO app/solution today which focuses on the daily commuting patterns of corporate employees. A few companies came up with their intranet microsites (not an App) to enable carpooling. It had fair success but due to lower volumes and inability of the corporates to define pricing structure for such a practice led to lower penetration and acceptability of the offering. Moreover, without a mobile app it seemed too rudimentary.
Between Renn-Fair, believing in magic, and pretending I'm a Faerie, I have the weekend and carpooling covered.

My friend Nick invited me and Andy, along with John and Shea to his mom's place for Easter. We carpooled to Tofield Saturday afternoon and spent the day playing games, eating wonderful snacks and had a proper holiday meal (ham and cabbage rolls!), watching hockey and playing more games. We were up until about 2am.
I took this picture from the third row of seats in our Mazda 5, which I get teased for owning quite a bit. For the record, our car fit 5 adults with overnight bags perfectly and nobody had to be squeezed between two other people.
Think of it as a scaled down Octoberfest. We carpooled with our American friends Beth and Danny (pictures forthcoming) and meandered around the fair looking for the right ride (the "Revolution") and the right brat (half a meter long). As intelligent fair-goers, we knew not to do them in the wrong order. You eat the brat last. Always eat the brat last.
