Scale Model (Card) Kit of Lloyd's Bank Building (London)
Dims: 360mm x 360mm x 50mm
The hardbound case containing 6 volumes, each containing 9 full-colored plates (54 of ) of documents, maps, illustrations, or photos documenting the history of Lloyd's & the design / construction of their building, and an 85 sheet card model.
A long time fan of modern architecture I started collecting architectural scale models about 20 years ago. These kits designed by van Zanten are beautiful in the box products. Long out-of-print I've been able to acquire 10 of his designs over the years. This is the most ambitious kit in my collection.

Cobham Bus Museum kit in 1/76th scale by Kingsway Models, a card kit that I started a couple of days ago, nearly finished, the doors are yet to be affixed to the building and are seen here leaning against the building, the whole thing is to be fixed to a base along with some trees etc and buses of coures. Many thanks to John Howe.
A paper model of MR3, the rocket that launched the first Americans into space. Made entirely from paper and glue except for the little probe at the top (a paperclip).
Stands about 40cm high.

The new Landmark Trust leaflet recently mentioned by steve&elise assembles into a lovely little model of Appleton Water Tower. It's a bit fiddly to build (and that's the editor of a model magazine speaking!) but with patience and a little glue to add strength, it should turn out fine. It's certainly an eye-catching promotional idea - I wonder if other models will follow?
Partialy finished card kit of the London Bus Preservation Trust's Redhill road bus museum at Cobham in 1/76th scale by Kingsway Models, started the other day and nearly finished, the doors here are just resting against the building, yet to be fitted, the whole thing will then be fitted to a base with scenery etc to be added.
