This year I spent some time behind the scenes capturing the performers as they prepared for the main St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Ireland.
“Let’s Make History” was the theme for the 2014 St. Patrick’s Festival here in Dublin. The Parade was animated by Ireland’s leading pageant companies, their fantastical creations and thrilling performances inspired by the past enthralled and excited the large crowds lining the route. Amidst the colourful pageantry, bands from the USA, Germany, Estonia and Ireland delivered uplifting scores and rousing beats. I believed that I managed to photograph all the bands so if you took part you should check to see if you were photographed in action.
During the yodeling contest, the audience members would hold up pretzels for their favorite. Lego Series 11

The 2015 transmediale exhibition, CAPTURE ALL, presents artistic positions that respond to the asymmetries and the misconceptions of a datafying world. The selection, which came together after curatorial research and an open call for works, particularly focuses on the ambiguous relationship and uncanny tension between the user and the algorithm, the self and the constantly evolving apparatus. Can the system still be gamed or has an impasse been reached?
