I got two yards of each of these seven colors of canvas duck from JoAnns. Each of the round cushions used about 1.5 yards, so I have a good bit leftover as scraps for other projects. The canvas duck is really strong, I hope it will hold up to the abuse my kids will put out!

Stevige canvas met een print van rode appels op een witte achtergrond. De appeltjes hebben een hoogte van ± 4 cm.
Dave and I went on a date to Canvas and Cocktails for their first ever "Guys' Night". They provide all of the art supplies and an instructor to coach you through the process. Dave's is on the left, mine is on the right. I wanted to make mine to give to our 2 year old daughter - who LOVES to play guitar with her papa! :o) She was super excited when I told her this painting was for her.
We WILL be doing this again!

Stamping on canvas and coloring in with Glimmer Mist spray. Full tutorial in blog post. Thanks for looking!
I wondered if you could somehow transfer a photo to canvas at home. After some googling I came across a couple of ideas then tried a hybrid of that information. This was a photo of piggley that I printed with the photocopier. You could photo copy a photo. Our photocopier at work is black and white so thats what I started with.
The original photo of piggley is below.
(I forgot to flip it before printing it)
I transferred this to an 8 x10" store brought canvas. (Bunnings in Aust)
Whats required
photocopy of photo
canvas
Jo Sonja's All purpose sealer/Acrylic polymer
brush
something hard I used a plastic scraper in cloth
How to
I cut the photo to the size of canvas (started with A4 )
Then coat the canvas with the sealer a reasonably thick coating, I brushed up/down, left/right then diagonally. Leave this.
Then coat the photocopy (print side) with a thinner solution (I just added some water)
Then lay your photocopy onto the canvas print side down so that the two coats of sealer are meeting.
Carefully smooth the photo onto the canvas (wipe away any excess sealer that may ooze out)
take your scraper then from the middle spread out towards the edges, firmly pressing it down.
Then I rubbed a damp finger over the back not to wet though.
let it dry (apparently you can then almost start peeling the back of the paper off, I didn't so will just state what I did)
then with a wet finger this is the tedious part, start rubbing over the back the top of the canvas. The paper should start coming off.
Gently keep doing this and the photo will appear underneath. Just keep gently rubbing off all the paper with your damp finger. You can use a soft cloth to wipe away the excess.
when that was dry I then coated with a thin layer of the sealer.
extremely happy with the result, am now going to try colour some how.
Cost
Canvas $8.00
Sealer $14.00 but only used a fraction for this.
photocopy from work
time under an hour including drying time.
sorry was excited and posted from my phone
