Oil on Canvas, 1904.
Luckily I got to see this before the art student fell into it and damaged it recently.
In the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (or at least it used to be).

oil on canvas... FOR SALE
painted in memory of a safari i went on in south africa...
my biggest oil painting to date, so taking a pic of it is hard because it doesn't really show the intricacies very well (like the grass, there is actually green grass amongst the yellow in there too)...
i took more care to indicate shadows/light in this one than previous paintings... that’s not something i normally work on... people seem to like the blue i chose a lot (many have commented on it)... it’s just the blue i came up with... i’m pretty happy with the painting... it’s just right as far as not being too abstract or realist... i do like the sky a lot, more specifically, i like the clouds a lot... i liked how i had cloud-wisps in the sky as well... i like the grass and i’m pretty happy with my elephant...
my name is in one of the clouds, but you can’t tell from the pic... it's actually located in the small cloud between the 2 hilltops to the left... it was the 5th place i attempted to put my name... at first, tried to put it in the trees/bushes to the right of the elephant, but i didn’t like that... then i tried to put it atop the first hilltop to the left, but that looked lame... then i tried to put it just above the trees/bush to the left, but that looked lame too... then i tried to put it in the bush furthest to left in the yellow grass but that looked stupid too... and then i tried to put it in the shadow atop and to the right of the hill that’s to the right of the elephant... finally i decided to put it in the little cloud... i must’ve spent 15-20 minutes trying to figure out where to put my name... if you look closely, you can tell that i painted over certain spots where i initially thought to put my name... for instance: the hilltop furthest to the left was not that tall initially...

I keep looking at this piece of plastic canvas and thinking that it has great possibilities. I like it because it has the tiny holes, instead of the standard squares.
Now...what to do with it...

One out of a series of glitch canvasses. A result of webcam errors printed on a large canvas screen.
"Night was in a deep sleep
when I mixed fire and light
and on a virgin canvas
I painted a sun;
a red, blazing sun.
By morning
the sun had burnt a gaping hole
in my canvas
and there were ashes
all over my room.
