De botanische naam is afkomstig van het Latijnse woord voor dolfijn,

omdat de knoppen van de bloem in de verte iets weg hebben van een dolfijn.

For decades competitors have traveled from all over the world to compete at the historic Mr. and Mr’s Muscle Beach Competition. The annual bodybuilding competition draws pros and amateurs.
