Pozza senza nome | luglio 2013

Another angle that I think I like much better of the old abandoned power plant on the Wapsi. Please pardon the spots. I didn't know my camera got this dirty on Saturday. Time for a good cleaning

My good friend Alice got married last weekend and this is a photograph I made when she went to the salon to have her hair did...

Was too cloudy here to see the supermoon last night, but did see it setting this morning, when it wasn't looking all that "super" - maybe looked a tiny bit bigger than normal though :) Had visions in my head of catching one of these awesome photos with a bird/plane flying across it, or a building/tree silhouetted, but I had maybe 10 mins in which to photo from my bedroom window, so had to make do with the view from there! (I DID manage to get a plane in one frame, by chance, but it was too high and looked too small anyhow, then one seagull got pretty close, but not close enough, and then finally I caught two birds flying right across the moon, but they were tiny and the moon was barely visible by then!).
Canon 5D with Tele-Astranar 400mm lens.

For those of you who have followed me for some time, you know that this is much different than what I normally post. There was just something so peaceful and lovely about this shot in black and white. The clouds were so dramatic and the reflections looked just like the morning I took this shot.
This was one of the many shots of the Sea of Cortez that I took during our fall trip to the Baja.
Thanks for looking at my stream and commenting on this image.
