Instruction #18 - SPNP
"Look for a window. Through a window, out of a window, or at the reflections on a window." - Arif Asci
Another shot of a dragonfly resting on a tweed. Wasn't able to get a closer shot as it is actually at a pond, where I have to extend my arms to get his shot.
Personally, i like the DOF, details of the wing and head.
Handheld shot with 5D with 100mm macro and 580EXii flash.
Minimal editing, cropped and brightness adjustment.

Lisa - Model Mayhem #1914537
An earlier shot of Simons Xmas tree light shot idea.
Hand held at about 4 seconds laying on the floor. Flash guns were fired manually during exposure.
Strobist :Lencarta Safari on just over half power into shoot through umbrella with Jessops 360AFD rear left of camera on half power again. Two strands of battery powered Christmas lights taped together and twirled in this four second exposure.
Thanks to Simon for his idea and Lisa for being so patient.
This bat character is TAD. He's been travelling the world passed around by many great Light Painters on Flickr. He started in Australia created by Tig Tab last summer and travelling nearly 50,000 miles by the time he returns in 2012. He's eastward bound now after GB and soon off to Europe.....
Each photograph is a representation from all different countries and states. To see all the photos so far head to his Flickr group:
