Doing a second, but mini-upload from the Calgary and Banff trip this weekend.
Moraine Lake has a canoe-rental service. We were on a coach tour so didn't have the time to try it, plus neither mother nor I can swim.
Location: Mauthe Lake Recreation Area in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
We saw this canoe while finishing our walk around the lake. Looked like a great photo op.
A river excursion winds its way between Mexico (upper left) and the United States (lower right). My vantage point was the outlook above the Rio Grand Village Nature Trail in Big Bend National Park in west Texas.

These children had fun playing with their toy canoe.
Taken just off Kitava Island, where crystal blue waters wash the white sandy beaches.
May the image of these children remind us all that the world we are creating is also for the younger generation.
May they continue to enjoy each day.
What could be more fun in that shimmering green light along a fjord in Norway than paddling across the turquoise waters in a red canoe? Well, maybe photographing the scene.
My trip out in the wilderness of the Manchac Swamps. It's my favorite time of the year (Summer), lots of peace and tranquility in the swamps.

Normally I hate having people in my landscape photos, but I really liked the sense of scale this family in the canoe adds.
When canoeing down in the bayou, it is really a good idea to go as a family. There are a lot of alligators out there so going alone can be dangerous. If you have your family along and encounter an alligator, you can just throw them one of the kids This usually satisfies them, thus preventing an attack.

I got a bit obsessed with daylight long exposures on holiday in Sweden this Summer, so much so that I came back with hardly any good shots! Managed to salvage this one with a bit of post-processing...
Early morning at Loch Lomond. I was hoping for some colour in the sky but it never materialized. Got lucky with a heron on the boat though.
