Now that I am sans digital camera, I'll be digging through the archives and scanning like a madman.
Taken from my summer as a guide in the BWCA. Most of the BWCA pics I'll be posting were taken with Advantix disposable cameras.
We went for a canoe trip on the Rapti river. We saw all sorts of birds, but the highlights were a marsh mugger alongside the bank, and a crocodile which briefly surfaced alongside our canoe but disappeared before I could get the camera on it!
This is an old canoe house located in the Hana Cultural Center. In ancient times, it used to house traditional canoes, which were basically hollowed out tree trunks.
This couple were on Lake Bomoseen, Vermont flyfishing and canoeing. So simple, yet so difficult. Good for them.

We saw: wild horses, bald eagles, cattle, beavers, fish, dogs in life jackets and lots of sun burned people.

lots of wildlife on the logging road up. dear all over the place and a couple big black bears, right on the side of the road. eagles and kooky song birds to round things out.
the brush is to scrub the tubs. they can get slimy since they dont get emptied until the river overflows during spring runoff.
