Charming & Delightful.. You could tell these two belonged together. I don't normally do people but this was a great photo-op.
On Sunday May 9th, Ryan and I took eight of the neighborhood kids canoeing. Each boat was armed with a disposable camera. These are the pictures from Khalif, Terrance and Dada's boat.

I stumbled upon the old canoe at dusk the other evening and decided to take a couple pictures since I'm still learning the new camera.
canoe begins to take shape. Inner whaling was added. The next step will be to lash the inner and outter whalings.
Last night was raining non-stop, so I didn't have many options as to which way I pointed my lens. I decided to try out my ultra wide 16-35mm f/4 lens for a night shot of Victoria's Canoe Club brewpub.
From Canoe Club's website: "Originally the 'City Lights' building, it was erected in 1894 to house the coal-powered electric generators which powered Victoria's streetlights. Today, the building stands as a proud heritage landmark on the downtown waterfront."
Nikon D600 and Nikkor AF-S 16-35mm f/4G VR lens and circular polarizer shot at 16mm, f/6.3, ISO 250 for 10 seconds. White balance, exposure and chromatic aberration corrected in Lightroom 4.

You can see why the inflatable canoes are called tubbies. I'm looking serious, as Sue made me paddle upstream for a second take.
