GEC Transistomatic combined camera and radio. Manufactured between 1964 and 1966, it was already obsolete by the time I received it secondhand in the early 70s. Fortunately, the camera part could be detached. The camera used Kodak 'instamatic' 126 film cartridges. The camera part seems to be a Kodak Instamatic 100 with some minor, mainly cosmetic, modifications. The main one is the addition of a compartment to hold flash bulbs to one end.

Meet the new baby!

No, I do not have enormous hands--this is a hilariously pint-sized TLR, made for 127 film.

The gray was definitely inspired by the baby Rollei, but Yashica even added crank winding on this 1958 model. These don't go for a lot of money because many people don't realize you can still get film for them.

Manufactured by the Nimslo Camera Co of Atlanta, Georgia. A 35mm viewfinder lenticular stereo camera introduced about 1980. The company ceased operations in 1994. Using it’s “Quadra Lens” system and electronically controlled shutter, it captured four similar, but off angle images on 35mm film. The film had to receive “Nimslo processing” where the images were combined in a special printing process on a lenticular imprinted paper (actually, the “paper” was exposed from the back, developed and then coated). The camera has a metal core but cheaper plastic trim making it seem a bit flimsy for the $280 asking price new. Celebrity Barry Manalow was a big fan of the pictures and purchased as many of the film mailers as he could when he found a store that carried them…

I have all my main camera gear all in one Pelican 1610 case. As you can see from this photo there's still a lot of extra room. I had the foam cut at Cabbage Cases in Columbus, Ohio. They do a fantastic job on custom cases. I'd feel comfortable shipping my equipment across the county in a case like this.

Univex/Universal must surely be the most underrated of all American camera manufacturers. For the very modest Uniflex series, they designed and manufactured their own leaf shutter, which although looking much like many others is totally unique and original in its internal design. Of course, they also ground and coated their own lenses. All other US manufacturers except the huge Eastman Kodak either bought their lenses and shutters or else bought an entire lens manufacturer to do it for them.

UPDATE: The model is now available on GrabCAD here: grabcad.com/library/e-m5-mkii-diy-camera-grip-1

-----

I absolutely love my E-M5 II, but the grip is simply not substantial enough. I'm also in charge of running a brand new LeapFrog Xeed 3D printer at work and needed to calibrate and test it...

So what was a mere prototype grip of my own design has now become a tried and tested accessory!

Made of tough ABS plastic, it fits the camera perfectly, has an access hole for changing the battery, and cutaways for doors, rotating screen and strap bosses. So far it's stood up to over 3000 images in Canada and Iceland, fits my hand perfectly and gives me a rock-solid grip on the camera with just a few fingers.

Note to self : Put on my wall

I love my cameras.

Why not view the set as a slide-show?

Also I often upload more than one image at the same time, I see a tendency to only view the last uploaded...

I saw a few of these around flickr, so I thought I would give it a toss.. I was to chicken to do it with my camera so I "borrowed" my dads for this one. This was captured on the first toss.

A great addition to my collection! It is as new and fully functional! This model is the last 35mm film camera in production when digital pretty much took over.

The Nikon F75 (sold in the United States as the N75 and Japan as the U2) was the last consumer-level autofocus 35mm SLR camera sold by the Nikon Corporation beginning in February 2003.[1] The camera replaced the similarly consumer-targeted Nikon F65.

The Nikon F75 is still sold cheaply on the used market, and is valued because it can drive Nikon's newest lens designs, including those with AF-S and VR.

There was a version, dubbed the F75D (N75D) that featured a date-recording back.

Originally designed for hunters (to remove more sport from the “sport”), conservation groups are also using it to track wildlife in the wild. I am borrowing a couple of them from the Wildlife Conservation Network before they ship out to Africa.

It combines motion and heat sensors to detect an animal approach on the path, and then takes a series of photos. At night, it records in infrared, and the array of LEDs up top provides an IR flash that they don’t see.

The HAL red eye is normally off; this is just a test mode to see what it takes to trigger the sensors.

Hoping to catch the local coyote, deer, bunnies, bobcat, and if really lucky, mountain lion.

This small, 1.5" Diecut Chromolithograph Sticker would have graced a Victorian era scrapbook. It shows a studio set with a view camera on a tripod, a plate holder, and head rest. I bought it with five others that show 19th century technology. Two of them show telephones, two show carbon arc lighting, and one is of a telegraph apparatus. I will add scans of all of them but do not have a set that would be appropriate. Maybe I should add a diecut group.
