Cardboard "disposable" camera - factory loaded with film

You were to snap your photos, mail-in the camera with film inside, and later receive your prints in the post.

Apparently, this idea never really caught on and these cameras were often junked, or found unused - as is in this case.

Not commonly seen and when found, rarely has the original box and all paperwork.

This is a pretty neat find!

9x12 Plate camera with zeiss tessar 150mm f4.5 and Compur shutter. now loaded with plus X Pan 120 film shooting 6x9 negs

A very popular camera of the "fifties and sixties" produced between 1954 and 1965. It uses 120 film and produces 6x9 negatives.

It has a simple "meniscus" lens (about 95mm) and this model has two aperture options (F11 and F/16). Either a single shutter speed of about 1/50" or "bulk" by keeping the shutter lever pressed.

The camera I bought in 2002 just before going to Sydney with the Chorus, has died on me. It doesn't switch on any more and remain miserably stuck as if it was on (the zoom in unfolded). This was my first digital camera. It wasn't perfect but it helped me learn a lot. It's ease of use and flexibility not to mentioned the great results I got from simply pressing the button (compared to my previous camera: a cheap and nasty autofocus), really encouraged me to take more pictures and gave me a taste for it.No more pics for me until I can buy a new one... (everybody sigh of relief here) that will take a while :O(

Unless some generous Santa gives me a nice new SLR... As if!

If your gonna toss it...

Minor crop and sharpen, otherwise SOOC. 3 light sources: white LED array, 7 color neon sign, and a color-phasing LED strip.

Between 1985 - 2002, and for a very brief period during 2005, The Canon A1 was the camera I used to take my pictures with using a 35-70mm zoom lens, which was very handy for transport photography. This isn't the actual A1, but it is identical and was used as a spare. I still have the original one, which is in better condition than this example; it's just that I can't remember where I've put the other A1!

I almost exclusively used slide film in the A1, mainly Agfa 100ASA in the late '80s and early '90s, moving on to the much better quality Fuji slide film from the early '90s onwards. The Canon A1 was a great camera to use and a quality SLR, but sadly it's become a museum piece in the digital age; with examples barely making £20 on ebay.

Made in England, one of 14 cameras I bought in a lot on Ebay from a thrift store in Manchester. I plan to try this one out with some film. Apparently it's easy to just drop a 35mm reel into this and use instead of the expensive 127 film.

Ilford RC Deluxe Glossy Paper negative

I like this one much betterrr. I bought this old film Minolta today in a charity shop, a whole £8. Bugger knows if it works or not, but i have a terrible obsession with old cameras. If i had the room and money, i'd buy tons. Maybe i'll take pictures of them all (:

Anyways, I put the camera on top of all my revision crap to represent the fact i would much rather take photos than revise boring old english. Ive got a week till my exam, and i've barely done any revision. eeek. hello fail.

I love old cameras♥

I bought a collection of photo magazines from 1956. It's too smoky in California right now to go out and take photos, so I am indoors doing a series of nostalgic digital images from scans-- enjoy.

America - what a country. Cameras grow like watermelons. They throw out some camera seeds, sprinkle with water, and cameras sprout from the earth. Everyone in America has so many cameras they just leave them lying around on the ground.

My favorite film camera Nikon F5 with data back and DA-30 Sports Viewfinder. Cheap Sigma 28 -70mm 2.8-4 works well with film.

Another old camera to add to my collection; this one still has a 110 film cartridge in it, and it was only on the 6th shot of 24, so it's got some life ahead of it.

From what I've read, Focal was a brand Kmart sold until the 1990s. I would guess this camera is from the 70s or 80s.
