These drummers started off a show highlighting the dance, music, and traditional garments of their minority group. After a it of back-and-forth with drums and horns, the girls came out to dance.
Taken with Canon 7D camera + Canon 400 5.6 L glass handheld.
It was sitting on a small stone on the ground. Had to almost lie down on the ground to get the eye level shot. This was about 10 am in the morning.

There have been two Sandhill Cranes hanging out in the neighborhood i've been staying in which are incredibly tame.
They have been hard to photograph though as lining up a clean background is almost impossible with all the homes around.
Here's another example of the incredible tameness of birds in Florida. These two birds walked right up to my tripod to within 3 or 4 feet and kept on walking out the paved road!

Litoria phyllochroa, was calling on a native lily on the edge of a creek. Still has his lungs inflated from calling, will push all that air into the vocal sac, and becomes very skinny.

This is my first attempt at an HDR pano using three shots, each five exposures. The setting is Poldhu Cove near Helston in Cornwall, and the title refers to the fact that this was the site from which Guglielmo Marconi transmitted the first ever transatlantic radio message in 1901 (something I only found out thanks to Wikipedia). Newfoundland was where the message was received loud and clear.
