The Clash "London calling"
YouTube video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfK-WX2pa8c
Lyrics:
London calling to the faraway towns
Now war is declared, and battle come down
London calling to the underworld
Come out of the cupboard, you boys and girls
London calling, now don't look to us
Phoney Beatlemania has bitten the dust
London calling, see we ain't got no swing
'Cept for the ring of that truncheon thing
[Chorus 1:]
The ice age is coming, the sun's zooming in
Meltdown expected, the wheat is growing thin
Engines stop running, but I have no fear
'Cause London is drowning, and I live by the river
London calling to the imitation zone
Forget it, brother, you can go it alone
London calling to the zombies of death
Quit holding out, and draw another breath
London calling, and I don't wanna shout
But while we were talking, I saw you nodding out
London calling, see we ain't got no high
Except for that one with the yellowy eyes
[Chorus 2: x2]
The ice age is coming, the sun's zooming in
Engines stop running, the wheat is growing thin
A nuclear error, but I have no fear
'Cause London is drowning, and I live by the river
Now get this
London calling, yes, I was there, too
An' you know what they said? Well, some of it was true!
London calling at the top of the dial
After all this, won't you give me a smile?
London calling
I never felt so much alike [fading] alike alike alike
London calling, yes, I was there, too
An' you know what they said? Well, some of it was true!
London calling at the top of the dial
After all this, won't you give me a smile?
London calling...

In a city with no roads, such as Venice, Italy, the police travel by boat. The Polizia Penitenziaria run the Italian prison system. The corrections officers are responsible for transporting prisoners.

Out following a hunt today. Nearly perfect weather which got better as the day went on.
I can't decide which shot I like best.... I think it might be this one.
I don't know who she is, but she was playing with this phone right in front of this light...and it was all too perfect.

Yes, we really did play with a ouija board at 2 a.m. in a cemetery. This is a non-photoshopped photo.

I have a project for college that I need help with. The project is to make or remake a specific device for someone who is disabled in some way. I chose to remake the Lego picker upper thing shown here, under my newest creation "Happy Lion". The purpose is to allow someone who has a broken arm/hand, or is missing an arm/hand, to pick up a mass amount of Lego elements easier.
So if you are a Lego builder who has to pick up mass amounts of Lego elements off the floor constantly, or if you've ever used this Lego picker upper, then I need your help. Over the next few weeks I'll just have to consult you on a few topics and ask a few questions.
Please message me if you're interested.
While I was able to see some throwing items in my direction, there was always someone out of my vision also aiming for my location (I got hit up side the head many a time by flying cups/necklaces/etc)

(in Wikipédia)
Decimus Junius Brutus Callaicus
"Decimus Junius Brutus Callaicus was a Roman politician and general of the 2nd century BC. Brutus led the Roman legions in the conquest of western Iberia after the death of Viriathus, chieftain of the Lusitanians. In his conquest, he scored major victories in the south of modern Portugal, before going on to the north. He had the city of Olissipo (modern Lisbon) fortified and advanced to the north, destroying settlements as he went. A fortified position was established at Viseu, the Douro river was crossed and the Lima river was reached by 137 BC. Ultimately, according to Strabo, Brutus conquered the Minho River. At the end of Brutus' campaigns, Rome controlled the territory between the Douro and Minho rivers plus probable extensions along the coast and in the interior.

Amongst authors in Antiquity, the tiny Limia River between Northern Portugal and Galicia (Spain) was said to have the same properties of memory loss as the legendary Lethe River. In 138 BC, the Roman general Decimus Junius Brutus sought to dispose of the myth, as it impeded his military campaigns in the area. He was said to have crossed the Limia and then called his soldiers on the other side, one by one, by name. The soldiers, astonished that their general remembered their names, crossed the river as well without fear. This act proved that the Limia was not as dangerous as the local myths described."
