It was very windy today by the bay. So I hastily set up my shot for the sunset at our local wildlife refuge before calling it a day.
I was in our house, when I heard the familiar call of the red-breasted nuthatch. This isn't unusual, but what made it so was that it was sunny, and there were multiple nuthatches in our big apple tree. This is one on one of the lower branches; the green background is lichen on one of the other branches.
Finally got out in the Uk. A fresh location found yesterday. Spotted the rays and I couldn't resist having a smoke to help them out.

With a Tamron SP Adaptall 2 500mm f8 Tele Macro, mirror lens.
A nice example of how the lens distorts donuts towards the edge of the frame.

A beautiful morning in central Florida provided a nice sky to capture this osprey calling its mate. Soon both were soaring overhead. Pandion haliaetus
