Fun Fact #29 - I can not drive a car with a coat on. If it is bitterly cold out I will run the calculation about time in car vs. time for car to warm up vs. comfort level needed for drive.
No one tells me anything. I passed two million views (probably 36 hours ago or so). The first million took 2,010 days and the second 120 days. See next image for absurd extrapolation.
The Spartus camera has this funky yellow lens for the viewfinder. The image is backwards and kind of trippy looking...looks like an old TV :)

SYSTEMS OF EQUATION - MATHEMATICS FOR A LEVEL IB SAT
A lot of student don't know about systems of equation. We have 2 methods: substitution and elimination.
I used substitution methods. Most of question only linear equations using substitution method. but For system of linear equation and quadratic equation, Substitution method is the only best way for solving. For mathematics in A level, Ib, or SAT, you just try to apply this method. Almost exercises will be finished.
Talk about mathematics or systems of equation
In this video, I give you a lot of exercise including: addition, fraction, multiplication of systems equation. Just focus on more than 15 minutes and you will get best understanding for this algebra topic.

Probability calculation in mathsa Friends probability calculation is a very important topic of mathematics which plays an important role in solving statistics problems or statistical analysis. Probability is a way of telling or expressing a knowledge that an event will occur or has occurred. Probability theory plays an important role in various human activities that involves the analysis of a large set of data. The probability of an event occurring given that another event has already occurred is called a conditional probability. The Mathematical view of this statement comes with the following equation that an event A occurs , given that an event B is already occurred.

I take my iPhone when I photograph because of some of the photography tools on it, especially for DOF calculations and sun set/rise maps. A new tool is actually a camera app itself caused Hueless. It is a camera that only operates in black and white. It is wonderful for practicing monochromatic visualization. Here is an example where I saw this Yucca plant and thought it might make an interesting black and white image because of the dominant lines, strong light and varied tone gradations. So I pulled out my iPhone brought up Hueless and snapped a vew images trying it's red, orange and green filters and received instant feedback on my visualization with the monochrome images it produces.

This is one of those shots that took no calculation, no setup, no preparation, nothing. I set the camera on my door, window down, and snapped off the shot... I didn't even look through the view finder. I was in love with my 5D mark ii before, but now I'm madly in love :)
I took a weekend trip up to the mountains for a little hiking, and some landscape photography. I packed the car, the tent and sleeping bag, and my dog, Sally, and headed out on Friday afternoon.
My goal was to make it to the Transylvania county area where you will probably find the most waterfalls in one area anywhere on the east coast.
This picture was taken while sitting in my car, after dark, wondering where the heck I was going to stay. Both camping options I knew of before leaving, where no longer options (they were both closed)... So, a call to my Dad and a search for a hotel that took pets and I was on my way to Hendersonville... about 45 miles away :( So, much for planning LOL

I tried Tartine whole wheat sourdough bread again. The recipe was adapted from Chad Robertson's 'White-Wheat Blend' in Tartine Book No. 3 and Maurizio's '90% Whole Grain Sourdough' recipe in foodtravelthought blog.
I had been struggling with baking this whole grain bread from Tartine Book No. 3 and had hit the wall a while ago, but this Maurizio's modified recipe was totally eye-opening and helped me a lot to break through the wall. The oven spring was not so dramatic, but the inside crumbs have nice holes which I had never been successful with high-percentage whole grain bread before. The crumb was surprisingly soft for a loaf with high-percentage of whole grains, with more holes than my previous Tartine whole grain loaves.
This is highly recommended recipe for anyone who has been struggling with the original Robertson's recipe. I am very happy with the result.
By the way, I shaped the loaf as a batard and proofed it in an oval basket, but somehow it ended up to be a round-shaped after being baked.
---------------------------------------
About the whole grain ratio of the loaf
To make high-extraction flour, I sifted Community Grains 100% Whole Grain Hard Red Winter Wheat Flour to get rid of 30% bran out of it. But I miscalculated the weight of bran to remove, so it was actually higher than 70-75% high-extraction that Chad Robertson suggested in Tartine Book No. 3. To adjust the balance between whole grains and white flour, I added extra 10% bread flour to the flour mixture (with just a wild guess), so the total ratio of bread flour was 20%.
I used some of the bran to coat the shaped loaf, so the final loaf must contained more whole grain ratio, but it was hard to figure out how much percentage of whole grain ended up in the loaf actually - perhaps somewhere around 70%. It would require very complicated calculation. My solution this time was from a pretty rough estimate.
I should take more time to calculate the ratio precisely next time.
For a discussion on the iBOB list. Calculating changes in head angle with changing fork lengths (376mm axle-to-crown vs. 385mm). Rule of thumb is 10mm causes half a degree of HA change. My trig skills are "hella" rusty -- on my first attempt, I'd forgotten that Pythagoras' Theory only applies to right triangles!

This man was so engrossed in what he was doing he did not see me taking this photo. He is calculating the wood around him. The tree is cut down and then it is cut into lengths using a chain saw only. It is too expensive to take to a wood mill for treating. The chain saw has a 36in bar and the guys using same are very skilled in straight lines. This is how all the wood is cut and treated around here.

Boston-area residents affected by what they call predatory rent spikes and evictions will protest Brighton-based City Realty Group, LLC and its subsidiaries at 3:00pm Wednesday, staging an action outside the company’s headquarters at 370 Chestnut Hill Avenue. The action was organized by tenant rights groups City Life/Vida Urbana and Chelsea Collaborative.
Advocates argue that City Realty Group is using the foreclosure crisis to buy up homes at rock-bottom prices, then going back on its word to tenants and instituting predatory rent hikes that are well beyond original lease agreements. Despite its promises, the firm has refused to negotiate with tenants, opting instead to move forward with immediate eviction proceedings. In addition to an immediate eviction moratorium, groups like City Life and Chelsea Collaborative are calling for fair rent calculations based on both the owner’s mortgage/maintenance costs and overall affordability for existing tenants.

We recover up to 20 - 40 of these per house.
Approx 75% are steel and 25% are cast iron and brass/bronze.
With 10-20 thousand abandoned houses in Buffalo (15k average) I estimate there are 450,000 backplates out there. Figure they average about 1/4 pound each. There is roughly 84,375 lbs (~42 tons) of steel and 28,125 lbs (~14 tons) of cast iron and brass.
Current steel making practices (these were made 50-100 years ago - much less efficient) use about 15 million btu/ton of steel. for the total 56 tons of metal this equates to 840 million btu of energy.
A ton of coal produces about 26 million btu. Thus (very conservatively) at least 32 tons of coal were consumed to make all those backplates.
That doesn't include the energy, pollution, and after affects of mining and transport.

The new calculations position the expansion links tail pin further across. The hole is now close to the edge. Dilemma, do I work with it, chop off a piece and solder a new bit on or remake the part.
