Boston-area residents affected by what they call predatory rent spikes and evictions will protest Brighton-based City Realty Group, LLC and its subsidiaries at 3:00pm Wednesday, staging an action outside the company’s headquarters at 370 Chestnut Hill Avenue. The action was organized by tenant rights groups City Life/Vida Urbana and Chelsea Collaborative.
Advocates argue that City Realty Group is using the foreclosure crisis to buy up homes at rock-bottom prices, then going back on its word to tenants and instituting predatory rent hikes that are well beyond original lease agreements. Despite its promises, the firm has refused to negotiate with tenants, opting instead to move forward with immediate eviction proceedings. In addition to an immediate eviction moratorium, groups like City Life and Chelsea Collaborative are calling for fair rent calculations based on both the owner’s mortgage/maintenance costs and overall affordability for existing tenants.

Bike lane through Chinatown in Vancouver, BC shows an innovative separation from traffic through a gateway feature.
Perhaps Chedworth is best known for it's Roman villa hidden at the end of a wooded valley a short distance from the village. Chedworth is a linear settlement which follows a steep sided valley for several miles, the small cottages that make up the majority of the buildings are masked amongst the trees and lost from sight by the rise and fall of the land. Perhaps the centre of the village is it's beginning, the group of houses that cluster below the church, which is cut into the steep valley side above. All is quiet and calm, paddocks with sheep, chickens, a pair of donkeys and even llamas line the road. The church is an early foundation, parts of the present structure dating to the late Norman period, most notably the tower. However it is the beauty of the setting, looking out over the valley below and the dramatic wall of Perpendicular windows that make up the south facade that add such beauty to this remote church. The south wall is also remarkable for a series of inscriptions from the late 15th century which include dates written in Arabic numerals. This early use of a system of notation which would revolutionize mathematical calculation is perhaps the product of the international connections of local wool merchants. Chedworth was once a busier place, the remains of a disused railway run through the village and indeed through a substantial tunnel nearby and a Wartime air field can be seen in the fields beyond.
I saw this gull plop that clam down on the concrete block. It then stared at the clam for a while. I swear it was trying to calculate how to crack the shell.

The calculations for the clock were made up until 1928, after which they were supervised by the astronomer Professor Elis Strömgren. The drawings for the clock were made between 1934 and 1936, and the actual production of the clock took place from 1943 until 1955. The clock was started on 15 December 1955 by King Frederick IX and Jens Olsen's youngest grandchild Birgit.

Manuscript title: Evronot ("Rules for Calculation of the Calendar")
Manuscript summary: This manuscript contains an Evronot ("Rules for Calculation of the Calendar"). Many so-called Sifre evoronot ("Books of calculation") emerged in the 17th and 18th centuries. They can be taken as a reaction to the Gregorian calendar, introduced in 1582. Such manuscripts often depict the biblical Issachar, one of Jacob’s sons, on or near a ladder; as an attribute, he holds an hourglass in his hand. This manuscript has two such miniatures; above the first of which there is also an illustration of a waning and a waxing moon with a human face and stars. The title page depicts an ornamental architectural arch. At the end of the book, there is the familiar motif of Moses seated at a table holding the Tablets of the Law.

Independent road safety report for work contracted by the Ministry of Transportation (MOT) in BC Highway maintenance handled by Maindroads Howe Sound Contracting.
The maintenance is handled from day to day by Mainroads Howe Sound Contracting in conjunction with MOT.
It is the recommendation of the report as follows:
1. Fix Road Drop Offs on road as noted
2. Reduce speed of zone from Function to Bayshores to 60 kms / hr due to excessive speeding and substance abuse.
3. Re-pave the road lines. Missing road lines both white and yellow are extremely dangerous at Nordic entrance. No white line to mark edge of road found at over 50% overall of area.
Please refer to section 8.5.15 Drop Offs of the government document titled MOT Traffic Management Guidelines linked below that applies to construction zones.

8.5.15 Drop-offs - MOT Traffic Management Guidelines
The Proponent shall conduct all operations to minimize any drop-offs (abrupt changes in roadway elevation) left exposed to traffic during non-working hours. Unless otherwise
specified in the Traffic Control Plan, drop-offs left exposed to traffic during non-working hours shall be delineated as follows:
• Drop-offs up to 60 millimetres, unless otherwise specified on the Traffic Control Plan, may remain exposed with appropriate traffic control devices alerting
motorists of the condition. However, no drop-offs shall be allowed between adjacent lanes of traffic.
• Drop-offs more than 60 millimetres that are in the roadway or shoulder shall be delineated with appropriate traffic control devices and further delineated as
indicated in 3(c) below.
• Drop-offs more than 60 millimetres, but not more than 300 millimetres, that are not within the roadway or shoulder shall be delineated with appropriate traffic
control devices and further delineated by having one of the following:
a) A wedge of compacted stable material (25 mm well-graded crushed base course aggregate or better) placed at a slope of 4:1 or flatter.
b) Channelizing devices (Type 1 barricades, plastic safety drums, or other devices one meter or more in height) placed along the traffic side of the dropoff
and a new edge of pavement stripe placed a minimum of two (2) metres from the drop-off. Appropriate traffic control devices shall be placed in
advance of and throughout the drop-off treatment.
c) Temporary concrete barrier or other approved barrier installed on the traffic side of the drop-off with 300 millimetres between the drop-off and the back of
the barrier and a new edge of pavement stripe a minimum of 500 millimetres from the face of the barrier. An approved terminal, flare or impact attenuator
shall be required at the beginning of the section. For night use, the barrier shall have reflective markers and/or warning lights.

I was required to check the rebuilding costs of my property for the insurance company.
I hate figures, not my strong point, but I managed it in the end.
photography makes you make calculations. so many considerations go into making a successful shot. we draw on our strengths and our experience. the end result is a good looking photo. the surfer on the wave has to make many calculations as well. the end result is a nicely ridden wave. photography and surfing have a lot in common. some things you can't just put on auto and expect it to work out...

I used the lens provided in the kit for the Nikon D3400, which is the ultra-compact AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens.
C = 0.020 mm --> according to Google
N = 4.5 (taken from f/4.5)
U = 457.2 mm
f = 35 mm
Using the DoF equation: (2CNU^2)/f^2
DoF = ( 2 * 0.020 * 4.5 * (457.2)^2 ) / (35)^2
= 26.924 mm
The ruler is also at a 45 degree angle, so that must be accounted for:
DoF = sqrt(2) * 26.924 ≅ 38.07mm
Looking at the photo, I’d say that it is fully focused around about the 9cm to 13cm mark, which would be a range of 40mm, which is pretty close to the calculated 38.07mm!
Spiritual/physical definition;
Trigonometree…
Branch of mathematics dealing with relationships between sides and angles of triangles and calculations based on them within an artistic expression through all art mediums.
Inside Fremantle Mental Asylum also built by the convicts under instruction by British Engineering Sappers like my Great Grandfather.
Another building where great terror and very inhuman acts were inflicted on other human beings, all in the guise of being good for them and where others inflicted injustices and bulling as medicine and healing balms to the mentally ill.
Another place of isolation, punitive punishment, incarceration which now serves the community as an Art Center for joyful and playful revenue raising and entertainment purposes.
Far too many old sacred trees and environments were stripped away for the construction of this building.
Added to each image in this album are their inspired stories to this emerging family HISHERTREE.
Each image has a word title that would have been spelt in English with "try" at the end like ancestry, carpentry, or infantry. I have added "tree" to replace the "try" and then taken their dictionary meanings that are only ever describing the outside physical world and married some spiritual elements.
The human beings body lives in the outside world of the physical but their inner self lives in the realm of spirit.
Some good maths and computer problems that could be later adapted for use in the classroom. Here trying to calculate the surface area of various uniform logos. All those maths rules about measuring the surface area of rectangles, triangles and circles have come in very handy. Glad Peter was able to check my calculations to give me the official thumbs up.

This man was so engrossed in what he was doing he did not see me taking this photo. He is calculating the wood around him. The tree is cut down and then it is cut into lengths using a chain saw only. It is too expensive to take to a wood mill for treating. The chain saw has a 36in bar and the guys using same are very skilled in straight lines. This is how all the wood is cut and treated around here.
for easy calculation..4000 sum=RM10
what can u buy? I went to the grocery store last night, 1kg of chicken cost RM20. 1 loaf of bread cost RM2.50.
People here do carry they money in a big bag for shopping since the notes are too big to fit in your wallet.. Hmm.. I need a money clip
