Little Caesars (1,904 square feet)

10119 Jefferson Avenue, Newport News, VA

Opened in December 2014; originally Burger Chef (October 1961-mid 1970s), later T.A.E. Imported Parts (April 1976-March 1979), Virginia Motorcycle Supply (April 1979-winter 1986), Johnny's Frozen Custard (January 1994-September 2001), Labor Ready (mid 2000s-mid 2010s)

One of Tidewater Pie's other Little Caesars locations on the Peninsula is this one in Newport News, serving the southern end of the city. They took over this old Burger Chef building, which has been gutted and reused as several other businesses since the 1970s but still retains its' peaked roofline. And when you go inside the lobby the angled steel support beams, such as the one in this very photo, are still in place as well!

The statue portrays a young man mounted on a horse: he is shown heroically naked except for his military cloak (paludamentum). The statue was found in or near Rome in the sixteenth century, was then restored by Giacomo della Porta, and from 1652 stood in the Palazzo Farnese. Restorations include the youth's arms and three of the horse's legs.

Statues of mounted individuals (equestrian statues) such as this were not common in antiquity, so the subject was clearly a person of some importance. The boy's facial features and hairstyle resemble those of members of the Julio-Claudian dynasty of Roman emperors, in particular the emperors and princes of the first half of the first century AD.

Caesar says all this jumping from key to key just to type a few words is very exhausting and makes him feel like Bobby Van in the movie Small Town Girl. He says he'll stick with a stylus and wax tablet from now on. He's heard that tablets are all the rage now anyway.

Caesar enjoys the many toys and treats he received. Here, he is chewing on an edible stocking.

The Las Vegas Strip is a stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard South, where many of the world's largest hotels, casinos and resorts are located. Different themes are used such as Arhurian (Excalibur), Italian (Venetian and Bellagio), Roman (Caesars Palace) and Parisian (Paris Las Vegas).

Second to None, Envy of All ...and with an ego that is unmatched.

Crisp, cut romaine lettuce tossed together with homemade Caesar dressing, croutons, and topped with shredded Parmesan cheese.

The dressing consists of grated garlic cloves, dry mustard, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and a coddled egg that was blended together first. Olive oil was then slowly added and whisked vigorously to emulsify the dressing.

Whilst roaming around Bamberg, I came across this handsome chap. What proportions he is lion, monkey, bear or human is unknown. And we call him Caesar.

The Caesar is a Canadian cocktail, normally not found outside Canada; i.e. few places anywhere else on the planet, have heard of it / know how to make it.

But Ogdensburg is a border town, with lots of Canadians popping over for a cheap evening.

So they know Caesars, there.

This one wasn't mine, but I have tried them there before, and they do a surprisingly good job, at making them.

Not the greatest photo, but not bad either since it was taken hand held on the fly while walking through Caesars Palace.
