These are interesting little guys. Once the buds truly open up the little flowers stay during the day and then close around 6 in the evening. Almost the opposite schedule of my four o'clocks.

Death Valley National Park is located in Eastern California along the Nevada border. For you Easteners, this is what a cactus look likes when it blooms in April. Very beautiful flowers. The white flowers in the back are tombstone roses and you can see a suguaro, cholla and an ocotillo cactus.
