cables without a cable needle(4-st RC):
If you want to make a cable that twists to the right:
1.Insert right needle from the front through 3rd and 4th stitch on left needle, slip the left needle out releasing 4 cable stitches.
2.Fast pick-up two loose stitches with left needle on the back.
3.Slip the two stitches from right needle back to the left needle by crossing stitches .
4.Knit as directed.

The gripman, a cable car's driver.
Being a gripman, says Wikipedia, is a "highly skilled job, requiring the gripman to smoothly operate the grip lever to grip and release the cable, release the grip at certain points to coast the vehicle over crossing cables or places where the cable does not follow the tracks, and to anticipate well in advance possible collisions with other traffic that may not understand the limitations of a cable car. Being a gripman requires great upper body strength needed for the grip and brakes, as well as good hand-eye coordination and balance."
Plus he's got to be good at ringing the bell, too.

What is Cable Harness
A cable and wire harness also referred to as a wire harness, wiring assembly, cable assembly or wiring loom, is an assembly of electrical cables or wires which transmit signals or electrical power. The cables are bonded together with a durable material such as vinyl, rubber, electrical tape, conduit, a weave of extruded string, or a combination thereof. Commonly used in automobiles, car, and construction machinery, cable harnesses has several advantages over loose wires and cables.
Application and environment are the two major factors that determine the types of the wire harness. Based on these two factors, there are 3 types of cable harness assembly.
Open Bundle:
The cable and harness assemblies are attached to the connectors and lugs and are coupled in bundles with various breakouts using plastic tie wraps or waxed lacing twine.
Closed Bundle:
Wires are bundled with a covering, such as pulled-on braided tubing, braided-on Nomex or nylon, or in some cases, metal braid.
Waterproof Harnesses:
The junctions between the legs and backshells of the connectors are molded with a material such as urethane or rubber compounds.
Components of Cable Harness
Wire
The role of the wire is to carry current to convey signals and provide power. It itself contains internal copper wires and external insulating materials. Commonly used specifications have a nominal cross-sectional area of 0.3, 0.5, 0.85, 1.25, 0.3, 0.5, 0.8, etc. Wires, each of which has a current value that allows the load, and reasonable use of electrical equipment for different powers, is the basis for a qualified harness. With the increase of the functions of automobiles, the widespread use of electronic control technology, more and more electrical components, more and more wires, the thicker and heavier the wire harness assembly becomes. In the future, the use of wires will be reduced, and modern cars have introduced CAN bus configurations using multiplex systems. Compared with the traditional point-to-point configuration of the wiring harness, the CAN bus greatly reduces the number of wires and connectors, making the cable wire harness lighter and not limited.
Connector and Terminal
After the terminal and the electric wire assembly are crimped according to the standard, they are locked in the slot of the connector, and the male and female connectors are butted to meet the loop between the harness and the harness to the terminal. If it is arranged in the high humidity environment of the engine compartment, according to National regulations require that waterproof plugs be added.
Exterior Parts and Other Components
The exterior parts include a bellows, a polyethylene tube, a polyethylene cloth, a sheath, a sponge, a tape, a wire fastening harness bracket, etc., in order to place the wire to wear and break. Meet the temperature and humidity requirements of different positions of the body. Generally, corrugated pipe, polyethylene pipe, polyethylene cloth, hard pipe, and sheath are used to prevent the wire from being worn and broken. The wire is wrapped with thin-walled and thick-walled tape, and the wire harness is fixed at a suitable position in the vehicle body by using clips of different shapes. The purpose of the rubber ring is to prevent the wire cable harness from being scratched when it passes through the gold hole.

A shot from my 2014 trip to San Francisco showing one of the best bits of this amazing city: the cable cars. The lead in lines were deliberate - the bay bridge in the background... I hadn't even noticed!
Permanent cables (in white plastic sheaths) are installed as the bridge's deck is constructed. This view is of cables at the East Tower, with the West Tower in the background. Once a new segment of deck is in place, a temporary cable can be replaced by a permanent cable.

Finally after 3 months, I manage to hide all cables from the upgrades, and the lights make a more calm and relaxing ambiance to listen music or working at night.
Awaiting for a bigger Gemini USB cable from iFi and some other stuff that will not be visible.
The solos are great, is this room there is no need for a sub. So my Monitor Audio sub will be here but disconnected.
iFi launched a new firmware 5.0 for their devices, with the option of no standby, for me was a golden decision from iFi, because I never hear with headphones.
Hope you like it.
Best Regards.
When cable trams were in use in Melbourne, ponies were used to haul the dummies (grip-cars) out to the cable rails, where the grip would be lowered and the cable placed in it.
These magnificent beasts worked hard and really earned their keep!
Part of my tribute to the role horses played in the tramways of Australia.

The famous cable cars of San Francisco are still running around the clock. Here is one on Hyde st, arriving with a load of tourists with cameras aimed and ready for Lombard st.
Some more of the cables the former landlord installed in the basement. I wonder if this installation was clear to him (but I seriously doubt it). The neighbors and me had some problems with our electricity bills.
