I bought some cable clamps in two different sizes. I used this to fit over the middle of the rack.

Me at the slalom practice at Kosice cable park.

This picture is made by professional photographer Matus Rendek. ( www.matrendek.com ) famous for his work for snowboard&skateboard magazine Boardlife and also other European magazines. He attended for Evil Wakeboard&Wakeskate Camp in Kosice but after couple of days shooting wakers he started to be bored. Then once he came at the cable during the waterski training. He was absolutely amazed by power, energy and speed of slalom. He just grabbed his camera and run to make some pictures. I just heard him screaming: "Come on .. more... mooooree". I did some extra rounds for him. Later he told me that he thought that cable is going to break. :) I think it was worth the effort.. He did catch beauty of the slalom on his pictures.

PS: We asked RED BULL if they don't want to support Grand Pix in Kosice (They support our wakeboard kemp... thanx for that) . They say NO because they think waterski is OLD SCHOOL... maybe they just don't see this sport from right angle :)

Whitaker Cable is an old Kansas City company ... one of my best friends as a young girl in Northern California was a Whitaker. Her father, heir to the Whitaker fortune and company presidency, was tragically killed in an auto accident when she was still an infant.

Originally I thought this was of the Elva Lockwood Hayden family, but based on information from Kathryn Sinclair it is now identified as Margaret Cable McDole's family.

"I am almost positive that both were taken on the McDole Ranch in Wyoming. Photo 41 is my mother, Emeline McDole, with her parents Sam McDole & Margaret Cable McDole. Photo 40 is Emeline with her grandfather George C. Cable. Emeline was born in Feb 1921 so the photos were probably taken in late 1921 to early 1922. We have similar photos here. She says that her grandfather took care of her while her mother was County School Superintendent. She says that she was a “pill” to him, frequently running away to hid in the dug way."

I fell in love with the Cable Car Tour Dress from Modcloth.com, but didn't want to pay for it. So I made it!

It's actually the Madison pattern from Burda Style, with an altered collar--I didn't connect the side, and I added buttons.

View from the upper station of Wyler Aerial Tramway in El Paso, Texas, United States. The tramway is located in Franklin Mountains State Park. The gondolas travel along two 2600 foot 1-3/8 inch diameter steel cables to Ranger Peak, 1717 m above sea level. The trip takes about four minutes and lifts riders ascend 940 vertical feet above the boarding area. The tramway was built in 1959 by KTSM radio to aid in the construction of a transmitter tower. Karl O. Wyler managed the project. It was open to the public 1960-1986, but high liability insurance costs forced the tram to shut public operations. Wyler donated the tramway for public use in his will. The tramway re-opened in 2001.

Franklin Mountains State Park in El Paso, Texas is the largest urban park in the USA lying completely within city limits, covering 24,250 acres (9,800 ha).

Pictures in El Paso, TX - my wife's pictures from April 2008, when she spent 5 weeks there as an apprentice working in a birthing home.

Kilátás a csúcsról, a Wyler Libegő felső állomásán a Franklin Mountain Park területén, El Paso határain belül. A feleségem öt hetet töltött itt 2008 áprilisában egy szülőotthonban gyakorlaton. A sivatagi környezet igencsak lehangoló volt számára, alig van valami zöld növényzet errefelé...
