Near Monterey, CA, P:ont Lobos is one of the finest hiking areas in California. Breath taking walks along the shore line with beautiful Cypress trees and rugged shore line coves and hidden beaches.
On East 21st Street in the Flatiron District, Manhattan.
(The formal name of this business is Cha Cha Matcha. It specializes in drinks and snacks made from matcha, the finely ground powder of green tea.)
Safeway located at 3334 Alhambra Ave. in Martinez,CA. This store retained its 1970's facade until February 2008 when the store was remodeled into the "lifestyle" format. There were originally SAFEWAY letters spelled out individually across the front of the roof and the Circle S symbols were covered by Square S symbols. The SAFEWAY letters were taken down during the lifestyle conversion and the Square S symbols were removed leaving a black circle which looks quite weird and lowbudget move for Safeway.
A short, post Christmas, Newark, CA to Roseville, CA manifest (MNWRV) works its way through the curves of Altamont Pass on its eastward trip.

my family and friends in CA are OK. My poor boy, Tuxy (cat) is freaking out. I forgot the only earthquake he experienced before was in 1996. Mom says he is now hiding.
