The future site of Happy Valley Park is a prime piece of land donated by a local family that sold neighboring lots to be developed into an extension of the traditionally agricultural town of Cottonwood n Northern California. The park will take a decade to fully develop and will be the first park for the growing community. Access to open spaces built with community input is an area that health advocates increasingly stress. Providing easily accessible, multipurpose spaces combats trends of increasingly sedentary lifestyles.
