Recent dots seen at lower levels than usual
On the left on the 2nd of May, Agusta-Westland AW.189 G-MCGO, aka 'Coast Guard 175' tracks low-level along the beach past Shoreham Airport
Intriguingly this one was out of Lee-on-Solent and went North East to the London Suburbs at around 1,750 feet, then followed the River Thames, right through the City towards Excel and then reversed the routing before heading South East towards Eastbourne
Having crossed the town she dropped down to about 150' and rounding Beachy Head - started back West. However when she reached the Birling Gap area she disappeared off ADS-B
Half an hour later, up she popped again, still with the previous track showing and at around 60 knots tracked her way past here and home
The odd thing was that at the same time - a sister machine came out of the Cardiff area - crossed the Bristol Channel and it to tracked towards London, also following the River Thames down to Excel (where the COVID-19 Nightingale Hospital was recently installed) - then turned around and tracked back a reverse of it's previous route

On the right - seen tonight heading up from Seaford Head just East of Brighton and then via overhead Farnborough and onto home base Brize Norton was this RAF Airbus A400 Atlas C.1 ZM403 as 'Ascot 4589' - here passing through 15,000 feet

In summer 2016 Lancaster FM213 (also known as VeRA, KB726, or the Mynarski Memorial Lancaster) has been painted and will be flown in the temporary markings of Lady Orchid, Lancaster KB895, WL-O.
The temporary markings are only applied to the port side of the aircraft as the usual VR-A, KB726 markings will remain on the starboard side.
THE CONNECTION BETWEEN OUR LANCASTER & LADY ORCHID -
With only 10.5 hours of flying on the airframe, our Lancaster FM213 was heavily damaged when the undercarriage collapsed at Trenton, Ontario during a 1952 ferry flight. The centre section was badly damaged and the aircraft was almost considered unsalvageable.
A replacement centre section was located in Penhold, Alberta, from Lancaster KB895, a wartime veteran of 434 RCAF Squadron with 35 operations and known as Lady Orchid. After repairs were completed, Lancaster FM213 could be considered a hybrid of sorts - part FM213 and part KB895.

Les deuxième et troisième campagnes de C Pissarro à Rouen en 1896 (janv.- mars et sept.-nov.) voient l'élaboration de "séries". A cause de graves problèmes oculaires, l'artiste est en effet obligé de peindre depuis sa chambre d'hôtel (51 quai de Paris lors de son 2ème séjour, 7-8 cours Boieldieu pour le 3ème, entre les ponts Boieldieu et Corneille). Le temps n'étant pas toujours au beau fixe, C Pissarro y compose à certains moments jusqu'à 12 tableaux à la fois.
Plutôt connu comme représentant de "l'impressionnisme rural", C Pissarro n'en est pas moins le peintre de Rouen par le nombre et l'importance de ses oeuvres (69 huiles sur toile, 54 pour C Monet dont 32 pour la série des Cathédrales en 1892-93).
Il va même, durant les dix dernières années de sa vie, se concentrer sur les vues urbaines de trois ports normands : Rouen (69), Dieppe (30) et Le Havre (24), soit environ 120 peintures, se hissant en définitive au rang du plus urbain des peintres impressionnistes avec plus de 300 tableaux, si l'on ajoute les 39 composés à Londres et surtout les 146 à Paris (C Durand-Ruel Snollaerts).
