Spotted outside Bex railway station in Vaud canton, a veteran car of the Bex-Villars-Bretaye (BVB) railway. It dates from 1907.

BVB 'Swiss Standard' Class Be 4/4 single car 465 with bogie trailer 1488 in tow, turns into Theaterstrasse, Basel while working a Line 16 service to Bruderholz.

Perhaps because it was the first Swiss city that I visited, I have always admired Basle's green trams. The traditional trams were of a distinctive Swiss design, unlike those found in other European cities. This Belgian-built PCC is entirely fictional but nevertheless looks comfortable in the city's classy green livery (24-Feb-15).
