Durante la nostra pausa pranzo scopriamo nelle retrovie della stazione di Villars il “tramway” Be 2/3 di BVB/TPC, sorprendentemente inserito e ben in posa davanti al Palace, una delle importanti strutture ricettive di questo villaggio alpino.

Während der Pause entdecken wir im hinteren Teil des Bahnhofs von Villars der “Tramway” Be 2/3 der BVB/TPC, welcher überraschenderweise eingeschaltet ist und direkt vor dem Palace, einer der wichtigsten Unterkunftseinrichtungen in diesem Alpendorf, steht.

The meter gauge railroad Bex-Villars-Bretaye (BVB) in western Switzerland has some street running segments, eventhough it is a real mountain railroad that climbs towards 1800m above sea level using rack rails. Here, motor coach No81 has just left Villars in the lower segment on the way down to Bex.
