Buzz @ "The Green Man" - If there had been a fire you would have had to fight your way past the band. Nice collection of horse brass on show too!
Matt got Buzz from Grandma & Grandpa B. He took him to school today to show his friends. On the way home Buzz wore Matt's sunglasses (Matt calls them eyeglasses). Matt wanted to take a picture to send to Daddy!
(Found some old cell phone pics that hadn't been uploaded yet.)
I took him to the vet and they had to shave a little patch to take blood. His skin is patterned under his fur, like a paint-by-number.

This was originally going to be a shot of my new summer-buzzed head, but the windows were too cool and I only had a few minutes left of the cool blueish clouds, so I changed the angle and now you don't get to see my buzz as well.

Native bee (possibly Leioproctus but I am not sure) really tucking into the Easer Cassia (Senna pendula var. glabrata) growing by the side of the road in a suburban street in the Blue Mountains. The bees love this small tree and I see them tucking into their flowers and making very audible buzzing sounds as they shake free the pollen and pack it (look how they pack it!!!) onto their legs. Sadly this plant is a serious weed in Australia and has popped up everywhere in national parks, taking the place of native plants. Sadder still, is it was originally brought to this country as an ornamental for gardens, when we have 3 native species that that are now rare to endangered. The Brush Senna (Senna acclinis) is endangered but looks nearly identical to the once-coveted South American ornamental. I just purchased a Brush Senna to put in the garden in the hopes of helping to conserve the species and also to attract these big, beautiful, buzzy native bees!
