This is a button I had lying around. I used a woodburning tool to add a simple design to the front. I also attached a smaller button to the back side so that it would sit up a little higher to allow for the loop to fit around.
About a year ago, LA started installing new decorative lamp posts in Chinatown. As pretty as they may be, their form didn't follow function, and provide a flat surface to attach the necessary crosswalk signal buttons.
They solved this problem by creating and installing this flat section to attatch the button housing on to.

We really like using our elliptical trainer, but having the 'Reset' button right next to the "St/Stop" button just seems like a bad idea.I just hate it when I accidentally reset the machine.
Now that I'm looking at it though, I think I'll take the button off and put it back on with a different thread color.
Trust me there is NO button around that corner.
We looked.
And from this picture it seems like the answer is obvious but in real life this confused three of us. It's not that we needed to cross the street either, we just needed to find the button.
Edit: This has confused at least another three people since I took the picture.
I collected a bunch of different things when I was a kid and one of them was buttons! They are mostly from the 80s, but some are early 90s. I grew up in Ontario, Canada (close to Toronto) so there are a lot of buttons from local events/places.
Left - Groom
Middle - Female guests (my five best friends)
Middle will also be used for male bridal party but without diamantes
Right - Mum and MIL - diamanted on leaves and flower
I'm a button freak, a coffee freak and a tree freak...
I love trees, in every form, and in every season which is likely why so much of my work depicts them in one way or another.
These buttons feature a set each of two different trees. One set is a big, full tree in full leaf, glazed a self antiquing green with bits of brown and red at the edges. The second set is more of a Spring look with tiny leaves and flowers glazed in a beautiful sandy brown and touches of blue.
Buttons measure about 1 1/8 inches round and from 1-2mm thick.
