Three big pewter buttons offset the classic grey yarn in Susan B's shawl. There's just one button hole, so the drape of the shawl is determined by which button is buttoned.

A necklace made up of vintage buttons and hand-braided cord. The best part is the intricately spliced loop which fastens over a button. Made by three clever NZ gals who value re-using every day items - they package their jewellery in a funky envelope made from retro wallpaper.

I do not own a macro lens unfortunately, but my boyfriend stills owns an old 35-80 mm Canon lens, which I mounted on with a reversing ring. The good thing about the canon lenses is that they go to maximum aperture when they are not mounted, unlike some (all?) Nikon lenses, which just close all up. The max magnification ratio is somewhere around 1,5:1 or something; I'll have to measure this one day. the depth of field is, well, extremely limited however as expected :)

Last year, Denali had a Vestibular Event that caused the left side of her face to droop and be numb. Throughout recovery, the left side of her face has visible muscle spasms and has become tighter than her right side. More times than not, that left ear now stands at attention like that of a German Shepherd! So here, as she's relaxed in the yard, munching a stick, the ear also relaxed, into the perfect button ear that I adore!!! <3 (the right ear still sets as "rosebud.")
