This is the button I have to ware in the court house while being a juror. It a sign to everyone not to talk to me. Not even a "Hello."
As I was having a whole 'lotta' fun sewing the other day I somehow found myself sorting through my buttons. Now you should understand that button sorting is a favourite pastime of mine and I need no excuses. It gives me immense pleasure to sort them into their individual jewel like colours, their various shapes, sizes, whether they have two holes or four....... Maybe it's because I'm a control freak or possibly that sometimes I'm a Teaching Assistant- buttons are an excellent educational tool as well you know!
Kind of reminds me of the architecture from the game "Portal". Seen in Daejeon, South Korea.

I thought it would be fun to cover my mailbox in buttons. It took longer than you might think to finish and I tried about a dozen differnt glues. I really like how it turned out.
The is the first button quail. I'm unsure whether it's male or female- most of the time the males have that white patch on the throat but in some mutations females do as well. If you've noticed the bare back, according to the breeders they pluck feathers from each other to add to the nest. They will grow back!
This one is a bit braver than the other one, as it didn't try to run.

Well, well! I´m so behind with my brooches, I don´t know if I could make before new year, let´s see how far can I go.
Long time didn´t give a try with enamel since I changed my torch...so...a humble advice...don´t even try to fire-torch enamel with a microtorch...you can see the results, not quite good!.
