First attempt at a Dorset button. Unfortunately I could only find a larger stainless steel o-ring which took so much thread.
I made this bouquet out of random pearly buttons, fresh water pearls ,24 gauge wire, hand flocked leaves, ribbon, vintage lace and a vintage paste stone brooch. All total it took about three evenings and it has about 62 "flowers".

If you love buttons, you’re just going to adore me.
I’m the Mini Buttoned Book Necklace, a miniature, wearable & usable journal for your thoughts.
I wear a rustic brandy reclaimed leather coat which wraps your words up safely with my double leather tie. Stitched into my cover is a dark brown wooden button measuring 12mm wide.
Open me up and you’ll find I begin and end with handmade marbled paper featuring red, white & green hues. To follow are 36 pages (72 sheets) of tea-stained paper for your little hand written snippets & scriptures. Hand-torn and stitched with archival linen thread, my pages are dressed up with red & white striped headbands.
Measuring 1 x 1 ¼ inches, I hang from a fine bronze chain which secures with a lobster & eye clasp. When around the neck, my total length allows of 13 inches (26 doubled up) allows me to be worn, read & admired all at once.

.: spacing seems a bit too large.
I'm making a new bigger button board, similar to the older one used on the Project 64.
The new button board has a simpler design by using big panel mount buttons from SparkFun. This one will be used with the 64 Button Shield and an Arduino.

Here's Cry the Beloved Button, I guess.
I saw it over there at that Habitat for Humanity thrift store I go to now and again — you know the one.
Fun Fact: I didn't even press it to see if it still worked, because I was afraid it would and then I would call attention to myself. The first rule of thrift store photography is to get in there, get the shot, and get out without interacting with the thrift...which is actually a number of rules, if you want to get nitpicky.
But you need to maintain an impartiality; you don't want to become part of the story — and pressing a button marked 'CRY' does get you emotionally involved.
