This is the button I have to ware in the court house while being a juror. It a sign to everyone not to talk to me. Not even a "Hello."
As I was having a whole 'lotta' fun sewing the other day I somehow found myself sorting through my buttons. Now you should understand that button sorting is a favourite pastime of mine and I need no excuses. It gives me immense pleasure to sort them into their individual jewel like colours, their various shapes, sizes, whether they have two holes or four....... Maybe it's because I'm a control freak or possibly that sometimes I'm a Teaching Assistant- buttons are an excellent educational tool as well you know!

These are cute button bobby pins. The pins measure 2". The colors in the button are brown, blue, and white.

I love it and I made it for a swap.

i got this idea from an item on etsy; a cloth book with a page of flowers to button on. i put some pillow filling on a small blackboard (the slate was defective), and wrapped it in fabric on which i'd already glued the fixed felt pieces and sewed the buttons in place. then i made the tire and sun circles with buttonholes so T can remove and replace. he has the button board from lakeshore learning, but this one is a little easier and i think he'll like the car wheels.

I was looking thru my wife's scrapbooking gear (with permission of course) and I found a whole tin of buttons. Then I had this crazy idea of gluing a dark coloured button to a piece of black card, with a hole in it, then shining a bright light from behind it hoping to get light beams shining thru the button holes.
I set up a couple of incense sticks, to the side, to highlight the light rays. It did not turn out quite the way I wanted it. I was hoping to get 4 individual beams of light streaming through the button holes. Oh well back to the drawing board. White balance set to incandescant
