On this roll, I spent lots of time laying out the sequence of colors. Funny thing, I like the other jellyroll I posted today better. That one I threw the colors down & went to work felting.

Pinback button or magnet. See my profile for more info.

Once I was done with this sweet lil thing, it just made me laugh! Its big bold in your face pink button just makes anyone passing it by,turn around and give it a second look. Its hot pink lining matches the button to give out a playful, care-free happy air to it while the solid blue denim holds it all together. It makes me smile because it is just what I would carry with me on my brightest of days! Hmmm..coming to think of it, I think I might carry it on my low days as well just to cheer me up! I cant but smile when I see it!

The clutch is 10 ¾” length (at its widest point) 5” high and 3 ½” thick.

This very small button, finished in Red, and saying "ENGINE START", is what fires up one beast. And that beast is the 510 BHP, 430 Scuderia. Not uploaded a Macro shot for a while, so here it one!

The tags say not to wash them for a year - glad to have an excuse to NOT wash these things.

Belly switch puncturing infections are not typical if you comply with the guidelines from your piercer as well as have your puncturing done by a specialist that belongs to the Association of Professional Piercers. Still, local puncturing infections could take place, as well as it’s vital...

I always used to get told to button my mouth and mind my tongue and not to answer back.

When i was in playgroup when i was about 4yrs old the teacher lady (what would you call them?) told be not to answer back but being 4 i didnt really understood what it ment. I didnt answer her questions for the rest of the day and then she told me off for being rude and not answering her. Adults can be very confussing when your a four year old.

Yay a bit of colour.

umm yeh, i think that giant button is really cool. I got it for my tech project 2 years ago but never finished it.

I was going to post the normal coloured one of this but i got bored and started messing around with duo-tone, which is a bit addictive.

haha my nose looks weird

BUTTON FLOWER_ a touch of color in black and white setting

If you look up "labour of love" in the dictionary, there's a photo of this calendar (based on a design from the book "I Love Patchwork")... button covering, rubber stamping and velcro, oh my! But I'm so happy to have my chickens on display!

(P.S. For others thinking about making this, it worked quite well to add three little extra tabs of velcro at the bottom to hold the spare buttons...)

Percy Button was a local street

entertainer and one of Perth's best

known faces from the 1920's to the

1950's. Performing somersaults and

handstands, Percy entertained people

for a few shillings while they waited to

see films, newsreels and theatrical

performances at the theatres that were

concentrated in what is now the Hay

Street Mall, the Theatre Royal, the

Ambassador and His Majesty's Theatre.

Percy was reknowned for his

grubbiness and in November 1929 local

newspaper, The Mirror, dressed Percy

up in a long-tailed suit and ran a front

page competition asking readers to

guess the identity of the cleaned up

man. The Mirror offered a guinea's

worth of goods for the first opened

letter giving the man's name. Nobody recognized him!

The newspaper later asked Percy to write the

1929 Centenary Christmas Message.

This artwork from 2006 by Charles Smith and Joan Walsh-Smith celebrates the spirit of the street.

My first hatch of quail. Hopefully the first of many!

This is my first contribution to the "Faces in Places" phenomenon. It is a very smiley button that my mother discovered.

More often than not the middle one is desperately needed when dealing with Department of Applied Sciences of Education of the University of Helsinki.

Try studying there, if you want to get a glimpse of the Dark Ages.

This button is made with silk velvet. The fabric in the cut out section, is a silk brocade. I have used cotton a broider for the button hole stitching which is also needle laced. Then I have added silk ribbon french knoted roses.
