Botões para o Consórcio de Botões Encapados - JUNHO - Grupo Matrioskas do Brasil

My best vintage button from my Great Aunt. Worn but beautiful. It's about 2cm across.

Button circles, button wreaths, button flowers - whatever!

Created with fd's Flickr Toys.

Vintage buttons plus a thrifted cashmere sweater and plenty of time on an airplane = a button collar.

"I was an unworn, neglected item in my owner's closet. I don't know why -- my colors are cheerful, my texture is interesting, and I was made very, very well. But I sat in the closet for a couple of years until my owner's wife asked for shirts to remake into other clothes. Next thing I know, I'm being picked apart at the seams, broken down completely, and put back together as a different garment.

"I miss the collar and long sleeves but know that they, too, are in a better place. And me? Well, I've moved to the other side of the closet. Don't worry, I've got a great counselor to help deal with the gender identity crisis. I'm just glad to be seeing the light of day again."

This build is based on Jerry Builds Bricks ‘s 288 GTO. Just added style into it.

Sunday afternoon photography with a packet of mushrooms

Every single one of those white button-spots was picked out to fit, stitched on by hand, photographed in the freezing cold, edited in Photoshop and has sat on a shelf in my workroom staring down at me for almost two weeks now. Which makes it all the more tragic that I've only just realised it's a 'button' mushroom. Thick, thick, thickety-thick...

In an abstract way even the button you push to cross the street can be beautiful!

When you're inspired you'll find the beauty everywhere around you.

Button Up

The Bloods 1981

“Adele Bertei, a prominent figure in the no wave art and music scene in NYC, played organ and guitar in the original line up of the Contortions fronted by James Chance. The Bloods released the now classic single “Button Up”, on the Au Pair's label, Exit Records in 1981.”

I've wanted to make a dream catcher with buttons for a long time, but I thought it would turn out rather ...lame and old-ladyish. But this turned out wonderfully well.

Not really "eyes" but looks cool.....

... because I love her so much.

I really want to know what the 'oops' button does on this lighting desk. If anyone knows, please leave a comment!

It's taken me all day to get my butt outside for todays picture! This flu bug must be peaking soon it's day 5! Sounds like I'm whining :)

Cornflower also known Bachelor's Button is a drought tolerant annual, native to Europe, which has naturalized throughout North America. The original flower color is blue, but it is now available in white, pink and red. In folklore, cornflowers were worn by young men in love; if the flower faded too quickly, it was taken as a sign that the man's love was not returned! I'm guessing that's how it became known as Bachelor's Button, but it is only my guess :)
