Just an ordinary day for being a woman

Spiritual Message Card

While it used to symbolise jealousy, now the symbol of a yellow rose represents friendship, joy and caring.

These beautiful sun-colored roses can also convey warmth, delight, gladness and affection, as well as say good luck, welcome back, and remember me

CSX’s high priority business train, in its sleek and elegant B&O passenger scheme styled off of passenger trains from the 1950’s is headed by three equally as elegant F40PH’s in the same scheme. Returning from a trip to White Sulphur Springs for a meeting with executives from the coal industry, the train is going back to Florida. The picture is taken at Rocketts, in South Richmond, VA.

Kurashiki is a historic city located in western Okayama Prefecture, Japan, sitting on the Takahashi River, on the coast of the Inland Sea.

The modern city of Kurashiki was founded on April 1, 1928. Previously, it was the site of clashes between the Taira and Minamoto clans during the Heian period. It gradually developed as a river port. During the Edo period, it became an area directly controlled by the shogunate. Distinctive white-walled, black-tiled warehouses were built to store goods. During the Meiji Restoration (Japan's Industrial Revolution period), factories were built, including the Ohara Spinning Mill, which still stands as the nostalgic tourist attraction Ivy Square.

Ever since the Movement Control Order was enforced in March 2020, business for this road side vendor had dropped considerably.

Customers were no longer allowed to dine by the stall and orders were strictly for take out. This rojak vendor had to rely on Grab food delivery services (it's like Uber Eats) or hope that his regular customers would still come for take-out orders.

Sometime in October 2020 the wet food market opposite this stall was closed for two weeks after two vegetable and meat sellers were found to be positive for Covid-19.

For Mr Umar and his family members, survival was their highest priority and it's business as usual. Shortage of raw materials had raised the price of their rojak - it is now RM5 per plate compared to RM4.30 pre pandemic.
