Mmm still very busy. I took this in the morning on my way to work. I only took this one single shot because my bus came and the busdriver looked at me all weird when he saw me taking a photo of the bus stand. Would like to take more (and better) shots like these, so many when I have more than 30 seconds!
Ugh gotta go to bed, got work in the morning. Who works on a sunday right? =S
Thanks for all the kind comments on my previous picture, I really didnt expect so many people to like it.
Btw this shot was inspired by this muchhh better shot.

Let's not forget the shopkeepers, 'bus drivers, train drivers, road sweepers as well and those in the NHS and all those other workers who are still out there each day!
Not strictly 'street' but I couldn't resist asking them to give us a wave.
Back in July, a friend & I stayed in Miltown Malbay, Co. Clare for the famous "Willie Clancy week" of traditional Irish music. After 3 days I needed a break from the music, so I booked a free bus to The Cliffs of Moher www.cliffsofmoher.ie/ What an amazing place that is, full of tourists though unfortunately 😂
The free shuttle bus wound its way through the local villages. There was only me & one other lady aboard so I passed the time of day with the genial bus driver. As we chatted I thought shall I be brave & ask him to take part in my 100 strangers project? And so I did.
Muiris is Irish for Maurice, he said he didn't mind how I spelled it but I thought I'd try & get it right. He was born in Connemara but had lived for 5 years in Australia then 2 in London before returning to his native Lahinch. We chatted about his love of Connemara ponies which he breeds as a hobby. He mainly works for one of the major bus companies but is a relief driver for the Cliff of Moher tours.
I felt this photo really captured his cheeky smile as well as emphasising his role within the Cliffs of Moher experience. I really enjoyed our chat Muiris, thank you for agreeing to take part in my 100 Strangers project. Hope the ponies are behaving for you.
This picture is #15 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the 100 Strangers Flickr Group page

A photo from the 24 hour project I did on Saturday. Basically I took and posted a photo an hour for 24 hours. I wrote some thoughts about the process on my blog:

March 2015.
A one-directional, clock-wise route that connects neighborhoods to more resource rich areas. This route begins and end in Highland Park. The main streets served are Oakland, Rosa Parks, St Antoine and Second. I was out here yesterday practising my photography with my iPhone seeing that it was too cloudy for me to use my DSLR at the time. This photo turned out so well, it wasn’t even worth editing. Side note, I used to drive this route when it first came out around late 2016-early 2017 (the exact time escapes me right now), but of the now ill-fated new routes that DDOT (Detroit Department of Transportation) have created, this was one of the few that actually made it. It was one of my favourite routes! I drove it for two weeks straight. Had a blast with it!

Groet terug aan de chauffeur!

With a thumb up of the busdriver bus 4518 of the Flemish public transport company De Lijn makes a stop at busstop Korenmarkt in the innercity of Ghent, Belgium. From the background PCC-tram 6223 is approaching.
Greetings to the busdriver!
Gent, Korenmarkt, 5-8-2015
somewhat aptly titled as it was painted in constantly changing weather consisting of showers, sun, wind and everywhere in between barring snow, sleet and fog.
It's loosely based on the track Sunshower by Busdriver taken from his Roadkillovercoat album which is one of the best ever hip hop albums ever made.

I’ve been with Teamsters, and I’ve been with these guys. I’m more partial to the latter mainly because I was more comfortable with them from 2015-2018. Now, if I were a trucker and had an A-Class CDL, I could see myself being more supportive of The Teamsters. But I’m no longer with a union, but where I work at now, The Teamsters is lobbying to represent us, but I’ve had some negative experiences dealing with them in the past. I’m in no hurry for that, not getting political (that’s basically what it is-politics), but I’m just expressing my mistrust of unions. Most of them no longer have the backbone that they once had. The ATU and Teamsters are but a part of the few that do. Having said this, the ATU looked out for us during the time that I drove public transit, on one occasion, they even saved the jobs of many drivers-myself included-and for that I am grateful.
Like they say about the Marines, or playing for the Raiders (they’re in Vegas now), I say likewise about the Amalgamated Transit Union:
Once ATU, always ATU!

Europe, Portugal, Lisboa, Carris bus 728, Traffic, People, Gridlock (cut from all sides)
Traffic conditions can be congested in Lisbon, especially when roads are partially closed due to maintenance. Shot from Carris (the local public transport company) bus 728, on our way to Belem, surrounded by touristic transport, from the Moscavide suburb (where we stayed the last days of our summer holiday).
Oh, remember to take a yellow bus when you decide to take a ‘hop-on-hop-off’ bus in Lisbon. It belongs to Carris, not to an anonymous multi-national like the red bus company.

Normally I don't do this, but I'm kind of attached to this street portrait from 2010 and wanted to bring it back to the top of my stream just for Christmas.
I haven't seen him in a while and don't know if he still drives the local buses, but I hope he is well.

160725IMG_011715 My friend, an old busdriver - he's probably the best craftsman I've met - has rebuilt this entire bus from the chassis, in wood mostly. A lot of tideous work - and the result !!! Amazing!
I think the fall is about 50 meters high
There is a true story to to be told from this fall wich is called Brudesløret in Norwegian. A brides veil on english. And the name comes from the look of this fall.. On the very top of this fall there is an old road wich was used under WW2. There was a summerday under WW2 that a happy newly married french couple by accident drove of the road and ended up in the bottom and did not survive...
Its also told that a norwegian busdriver offered his life for the country as a busdriver on this road. The bus was loaded with german soldiers and he drove of the road and they all as the french couple died...
