Located in the Appalachian Mountains in the northeastern corner of Georgia, USA, Lake Burton is a picturesque 2,775 acre reservoir with 62 miles of shoreline. On April 28, 2011, a severe tornado struck the area. The damage can still be seen today.

West Burton is considered to be one of the most beautiful villages in the Yorkshire Dales National Park with a large village green and no through road.
Also within the village is the West Burton Cauldron Falls one of the waterfalls drawn by Turner during his tour of the North of England.

Yet another photo from me of West Burton Falls in the Yorkshire Dales. I can't resist this place, it has so many qualities, from raw power of the water to the beauty of its setting amidst autumnal colour.
West Burton Waterfall, Wensleydale, Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire, England.
I've not posted a waterfall for a while, so I thought it was time for an old image of my favourite Yorkshire Dales waterfall, the lovely West Burton Waterfall (also known as Cauldron Falls) tucked away in the village of West Burton in Wensleydale.
Having now postponed all of our Natural Light Photography Workshops until next year I'm really missing it and looking forward to seeing it again in 2021 (I hope!).

After several days of trying, several early morning tries (involving getting up really early, driving to Burton, taking NO photos and driving back) I managed to get something I'm a little bit pleased with. It lasted less than 10 minutes, but I think I managed to capture the light as it was.
Still some autumn colour in Burton, 60017 on the slow approaches Wetmore with 6E10 Wolverhampton - Immingham. I hadn't realised there is just a glimpse of the brewery footbridge and the station in this telephoto shot.
Burton Agnes Hall (an a glimpse of the church) from the walled garden. The gardens are well worth a visit as a change from the coast and the scent of roses in the walled garden was wonderful.
Another shot in the comment below.
The view over Burton Marsh from just past Nets cafe showing some of its abundant birdlife. As well as hundreds of gulls there are four species of crows, three species of geese, over five species of ducks and several wader species.
