The challenging thing about early blooming Magnolia, like this Magnolia Stellata, is that they're such early bloomers they're often tipped by frost. This lush lovely is from two years ago in the early part of April - and all the first blooming flowers on that tree were indeed wiped out by a frost just a few days later.
Fast forward to now, heading into the last week of January 2015, and we're bundling up and hunkering down for a fierce Nor'easter that's roaring towards us. Looks like it will be the first official blizzard of the new year with high winds and snow fall levels somewhere close to 24 inches. See you after we dig out! :)
I adore this boy so much, he's very photogenic and I'm loving the SD size, so satisfying carrying him around though my arms groan at the weight, haha XD

There is nothing in my experience as warm and wonderful as a rescued golden doodle overdue for the groomer.
Yesterday we visited the agricultural college where our daughter is a student, to see all of the new born lambs with their proud Mums. I was very tempted to bring one home - but I don't think that I would have got away with it!
