I saw this whole huddle (?) of adorable Canada Goose goslings yesterday, when I went with Ron (Flickrite Ronaldok) down to the Coaldale Bird of Prey Centre near Lethbridge in southern Alberta. They were hanging out with Mom and Dad near one of the ponds at the Centre. We'd been watching several goslings and then suddenly Mom stood up and revealed this tightly packed bundle of downy feathers : )

Bud of Peony / Pfingstrose (Paeonia officinalis)
in our garden - Frankfurt-Nordend
On Tuesday we bundled up in our warmest winter attire and drove ourselves the forty five minutes down to Jack Darling Park in Mississauga. Our p[an was to get a few shots of the frozen Lake Ontario shoreline. The icy cold wind whipped across the frozen waters edge and bitterly stung at our exposed cheeks, relentlessly pulling at out clothing as if it were a child trying to get our attention. Undeterred we faced into the wind and made our way forward to the waters edge. In hindsight this might have not been the best day to get near such a large body of cold water.
As we made our way closer to the waters edge we began to hear the relentless thunder of the crashing wave’s pounding against the frozen ice on the shore line. As each successive wave broke against the frozen shore it sent a plume of ice and slushy ice water high into the air, throwing slush many yards up onto the shore where seagulls were forced into flight to avoid being hit by the onslaught. I captured one of the moments in this shot.

From today - I had a session this morning/all day with a set of twin girls! They are 5 weeks old - but born pretty early...in fact this little sweetie here wasn't even 6lbs yet! 6 hours in the studio with these two and I loved every minute of it! :)

Ferrari Testarossa bundle:
- Ishida's Testa from Wangan Midnight / 281 pcs.
- Sonny Crockett's Testa from Miami Vice / 244 pcs.
- Testarossa in red / 247 pcs.
I've already built the 'Devil-Z' Nissan and the 'Blackbird' Porsche from Wangan Midnight and I wanted to expand the selection with Ishida's unique Testarossa.
That was the base motivation of this build, but during the process I changed the concept a bit. It was easy and obvious to convert Ishida's Testa into stock version, so I made the instructions also for a white one from Miami Vice and a red one because a Ferrari is most authentic in that color.

It was bitterly cold here in Ontario on Wednesday -- even with a hooded down coat, a knit toque, mittens, wind pants and heavy winter boots, I still found it cold.
This young volunteer at Westfield Heritage Centre was wearing traditional nineteenth century clothing. I never would have made it through the winter in 1860.
Pika are a real passion for me. These mighty mights of the alpine world fascinate me to no end. They are adorable, tenacious, fast as lightning, tiny, and the hardest little workers I know. They spend all of the summer gathering various tundra grasses, wild flowers and plants to store under the rocks and boulders for their winter survival. They gather these items in particular orders that only they understand. Many of the plants serve as antibacterial protection for the food stashes. I have spent countless hours photographing and enjoying their antics. Many more images to follow.
