Most all of the other storm chasers had gotten into their vehicles and gone back to their home bases…. but we stayed on for a few extra moments and just took it in.
This was taken at sunset as the remnants of what we were all hoping would turn out to be a huge beast fizzled into scattered cloud matter. The thing is, only an hour before I shot this, it was a huge beast and had rotation…. then it split into two, then three and then gave up the ghost.
The thing is… these storms, even when they die prematurely, are still very awesome to look at and stand under.
