Skies on fire, earth is freezing

The series of colors of nature..

White clouds in the blue sky, snowy mountains, then the emerald green plain and poppies in the most beautiful shade of red..

This is where my childhood and early teenage years passed...

People can conceal the truth as much as the clouds can conceal the sun.

Snowy mountains.. fog and clouds.. light, colors and shadows..

Karlı dağlar.. sis ve bulutlar.. ışık, renkler ve gölgeler...

Somewhere in Marmara region... My best guess is Kutahya - Bursa area. In that case the lake seen on the left rim might be the Porsuk Dam Lake.

There is a slight glare from the window, which is barely noticable and I haven't tried to remove it anyway.

FROM ABOARD TK239 DENIZLI-ISTANBUL

I shot the photo from my seat on a flight from Denizli to Istanbul. Four years after this flight, I am somewhat able to locate this place now. The lake seen on the horizon is Lake Burdur, and the river-like bend below is Acigol (Lake Cardak). We are on top of Dazkiri and the plane is heading toward Dinar/Afyon. See my posting of a Google map below.

Dazkiri uzerinden Dinar'a dogru ucuyoruz. Karsida gorunen Burdur golu... Nehir gibi gorunen su kutlesi ise Acigol'un bittigi yer.
