Waiting for the fireworks a cloud of bugs came through.

More than 40 classic and custom Volkswagens, Texas craft beer, barbecue and bands filled Depot Plaza in Tomball for the first annual "Bugs, Brew & Barbecue" in October.

Getting near and the depth of field is so shadow, thought the perspective is wider.

The bugs from the previous photo, in greater detail.

Anyone know the name?

Among the dock leaves there were dozens of Dock Bugs about today, mostly in pairs. I watched a lot of shaking and twitching and rubbing antenna and even more fighting and squabbling. Eventually I gave up hoping to get a photo of them mating but then a yard further down the path I found these two! Now I am looking for eggs. Last year I found nymphs of all stages so just need eggs to complete the set. www.flickr.com/photos/photospool/7776879410/

Whitefly sitting on a mint leaf- shot at 3:1. Look like they are made of pipe cleaners and pieces of felt.

Damned nuisance in the garden/greenhouse though.

I think it is sylvaticus but if anyone knows otherwise with this tricky genus that would be appreciated :)

a Western Conifer Seed Bug in the Daphne in the garden

I've never seen a bug like this before - his head looked like a little, bright red, round pinhead, and he had four tiny things on his back that looked like pom poms, lots of legs, pipe cleaner-like feeler things in the front and back, and little spiky hairs all over. He was crawling on a box of sparklers on my porch at our fourth of July cookout.

edit: according to mscaprikell, he is an Orgyia leucostigma, or White-marked Tussock Moth caterpillar.

I don't believe it's an assassin bug as it is drinking plant juices in this image

Assassin Bug, freshly molted. It has been doing a lovely job of keeping the aphids under control on this sunflower, but it demands respect as I hear it has a nasty bite!

Bugs. Everywhere.

On sandy coastal heathland on north coast of Jersey.

First time i have found an adult and as they move so quickly and disappear from view in a blink of an eye i caught this one and photod it in a pot!

RDB1 spp ... nice! :))

Hyoooj moth on the certificates board overnight. The balcony is painted white, and has night lights, so the morning brings a menagerie. This one's prettier than the stag beetles, which make good footballs.

Family Coreidae

I think it is a Western Conifer Seed bug...just checking other possibilities to be sure

He started swaying back and forth. I put the camera on HD video recording and captured his swaying. Select 1080p HD when watching the video:
