Goldenrod soldier beetles on a Black-eyed Susans Flowers

I just bought myself a Surface Pro 4 and tried tethered macro photography for the first time.

These aphids on the underside of an ornamental plant were all the wildlife I could find in our garden. In all seventeen images under artificial light, focus stacked using Helicon Focus 6. Hopefully I can find something more exotic as it gets warmer.

Everyone knows bugs are indestructible...I mean they can even thrive in Atomic Bomb testing sites. War needs solders who can be happy eating cat poop...

Dead Bugs bunch of old VW's waiting to be salvaged in this group shot in North Carolina.

Red-bellied Woodpecker ready to pounce...

Common in my rear yard.

Bugs was so intent on what he was interested in, it was easy for me to get in close to get this shot. His focus did not waver an iota.

I found this critter feeding on the Black-eyed Susans.

Our gardens are teeming with insect life if we just take the time to stop and observe...

Happy Labor Day everyone!

The red bug was careless, it didn't notice the spider in time and it was running through the spider's back. The spider was angry, but it didn't want to catch the red bug :-)

Or maybe it wanted just scare the spider! ;-)

graphosoma lineatum

I managed to capture this image of a small brown thornbill yesterday.

It had been successfully busy catching bugs - it has quite a mouthful!!

Hope you like this.

Please comment, view or add to favorites, this or any of my other images - much appreciated!!

Hope you have a fantastic day and week!

Spotted in the fields beyond Captains Wood on my walk this morning.

With the temperature starting to rise (15-17°C (59-63°F), the Spring Flowers starting to bloom and some rain (about 18mm or 3/4 inch) over the past 10 days we are starting to see some insect life in the garden.

I think these nymph butts are pretty striking - Happy Beautiful Bug Butt Thursday!

This Bug would change Color's, when the Light would change.

Dock Bug (Coreus marginatus)

27 October 2017, Knowle

I wonder how many bugs there are in there. They are much needed and very nice to see.

Pentatoma rufipes belongs to the Pentatomidae family and has a length of 12 - 15 mm. It is thus one of the largest bugs in Central Europe. The species is abundant and occurs throughout Europe and northern Asia. Adults can be found near forests and parks from July until November.
