I spent some time scanning and cleaning up some old prints. This is my father-in-law, who died three months ago. His face and his name were registered in a national clown registry. Back when Janice and I were dating, he would visit children's units in hospitals and make kids laugh.
Bubbles, your image is now preserved on Flickr!
OK I am more or less caught up. Last weekend Amy and the girls decided to do the Bubble run. I was unsure if I would go as I wanted to visit dad that day as well but I decided to join at the last minute. Unfortunately the crowd was so ginormous that I felt the need to hustle my way through it. I would estimate that I had one child or the other on my shoulder for 4 of the 5 kilometers...probably more. In the end I did get some fun photos, and I got to see dad.
Unfortunately the weather was not great for walking with dad so no photos to share from that.
Popsicles in the park must also mean bubbles in the park. Thanks to Independence Parks and Recreation.

Playing with my grandsons bubble mixture. It was fun blowing the bubbles, putting the mixture down then grabbing the camera before the bubbles popped or blew away!

On the banker's desk sat a tornado machine
and all the green capital swirled
like snow settling
on sidewalks
only to melt like some
illusory love.
In memory of Bubbles, my hamster and room mate for the past year and a half.
I realised I should've taken away the black wire in the front, but its bit too late to regret now since the photo's out already, and it took me so long to get her in position!

Here are 4 (out of 5) bubble pouches using a cute pattern by Keyka Lou. All of them have new homes now, as I gave them away at Christmas time. Fabrics used (from top-left clockwise): Amy Butler (Lotus collection I believe), Sandi Henderson, Sandi Henderson (Ginger Blossoms Collection), Jennifer Pagenelli (with Michael Miller for the green button).
