This was a "deconstructionist" themed game box project design I created for my desktop publishing class..I mostly used adobe illustrator/indesign in the recreation of the characters and the overall layout and design. The title and theme of "retro remix" are mine, but the bubble bob name and characters are property of taio games. :)

Honestly no idea why I have no better photo of this?

This MASSIVE item was a pain in the ass to do, a replica of (one of many versions btw) a Bubble Bobble arcade cabinet. Clicking it even plays the theme music! I have to redo the overlay around the screen, and add a screenshot of gameplay, but I'm happy with how it came out... except for the photo, wish I took a better one..

Feeling quite a bit better today, and up for tackling some of our clutter. I went through a big box which contained a load of DVDs and my old Nintendo NES - and gave everything a good clean in the garden. The summer house decking made a perfect workbench :)

My sister had given me the NES back in the early 90s, so I sent her a message to see if she might like it back. She said yes :) So that's one thing cleared out of our house - along with all the DVDs, which (having looked on eBay and also been insulted by Music Magpie - which was offering a maximum of 15p for a boxset) will be going off to the charity shop soon. I'd rather they made the money out of them - and hopefully there's a reasonable market for DVDs with all the holiday lets around here.

My Mum called me while I was doing all of this - unfortunately, she had dropped her new mobile phone and smashed the screen :( She was asking me if it was still under warranty, but I really don't think it would cover that, and I didn't buy damage protection. Hopefully my brother or I can get the screen replaced for her when we're each staying with her next week/weekend.

Really tired after I'd finished doing all of this, so had a very restful afternoon, and Tim cooked us a tasty dinner in the evening.
