Bryce Canyon National Park is a national park of the United States located in southwestern Utah. The major feature of the park is Bryce Canyon, which despite its name, is not a canyon, but a collection of giant natural amphitheaters along the eastern side of the Paunsaugunt Plateau.
I'm currently editing some photos for our photo club's photo exhibition in November. I'm looking for a few pictures that I haven't published yet and I'm finding them in my archive.-

A view from one of the overlooks at Bryce Canyon on a moody unsettled morning. It was quite chilly with a brisk northerly wind. Intermittent icy rain showers gusted around us. That evening it snowed.
Bryce Canyon, Utah
Sorry to all for not commenting much as I'm on the road for a few days. We were passing near Bryce Canyon and I had to stop by for a shot or two. This place is wonderful in nearly any light and weather.
This image is taken from Sunset Point looking Northeast.

As the stones song says, you can't always get what you want. I was not very lucky with the weather the day I visited Bryce Canyon. Still, even by a cloudy weather, this place is amazing. The rock colors are just unreal.
I haven't had much time for shooting lately so here's another from my trip to Bryce. This was shot just off the highway outside of Bryce.
Bryce Canyon National Park, a sprawling reserve in southern Utah, is known for crimson-colored hoodoos, which are spire-shaped rock formations. The park’s main road leads past the expansive Bryce Amphitheater, a hoodoo-filled depression lying below the Rim Trail hiking path. It has overlooks at Sunrise Point, Sunset Point, Inspiration Point and Bryce Point. Prime viewing times are around sunup and sundown.
Scene along the Peekaboo Loop trail. It's one of my favorite shots from our hike. I'll also post the color version in a few more days. It's been my desktop background for weeks.
Glowing hoodoos seen from the Navajo Trail in Bryce Canyon National Park. The early morning sun really brings out the best color and contrast in the layered sandstone formations. After getting the sunrise shot I wanted, I explored down into the canyon some on the Navajo Trail to try and get detailed shots of all the formations. We were only in Bryce for one night before heading to Zion, so this was the only 'morning' I had to get pictures in the canyon. This particular shot was taken very close to after sunrise, when the light was just barely hitting the tops of the hoodoos.
One of the great experiences at Bryce Canyon is getting down inside among the Hoodoos.
I'm not sure what's happening to me, but I'm enjoying these shots with people in them...
Have a great weekend and thanks for looking!

I can't remember the turnout but I hiked down a little way into Bryce Canyon on one of the days of my Fall 2017 vacation.
This photo is just being processed now and I added a composite sky (from a photo taken near home here in SoCal last week.) using Photoshop CC's new "sky replacement" filter.
