Borrowed my wife's styling brush for "Smile on Saturday" theme "Brush".

Chipped brush tip.

Okay...it's not really a brush fire, but that's what the dried out grass reminded me of.

There are several of these solo trees on our way to one of the area malls. I like that they stand on their own, but I'm not entirely fond of their wire-brush appearances.

Anyone know what kind of tree it is?

For Macro Mondays: "Pick Two"

...BP brushes in a pot, HPMD brushes in a jar, Rucott bag and paint cloth, Cheeky Pea console table...

I did try to take pictures of Pixie during one of his many daily brushing sessions with a wet toothbrush, but getting a picture with only three droplets was too difficult. You can still see how much he enjoys being brushed. I love how his little nose goes bright pink and he purrs like a little motor.

This was shot as a possible entry for the January 26 2019 #brush challenge in the #SmileOnSaturday group but didn't quite make my cut. I still liked it enough to post. I hope you enjoy it.

The knots continue to reveal the life energy of the wood.

Even after its stay in this weathered barn wall, this knot continued to exude resin, showing signs of life energy in the residual color from the sap and possibly attracting other life in the form of lichens. This is part of the magic and mystery that is our planet.

Pastry Brush for “Brush” Macro Monday

Pastry brush cleaned after being used to brush the singing lily with milk before baking; this tray bake cake has different names in different parts of the country and was usually made to use up left over pastry. This one has mixed dried fruit and glace cherries - my favourite - you can add cooked baking apples - Pauline’s favourite – or sweet mincemeat at Christmas, all of these are Jim’s favourite, serve hot with custard or cold spread with butter and a cup of tea!

If the kids had it their way, it'd be chocolate syrup instead of toothpaste ; )
