DC is known for it's brunch scene, but we haven't explored all that many. After doing this in August we decided to try and make it at least a monthly adventure.
This was all you can eat small plates at Pallete 22 and it was amazing. It'll be hard to explore further instead of coming right back here next time.
Our oldest was still in MN with her grandparents so she missed out. Nice to have great friends along for the ride though!
Clockwise from left: latte (v. creamy); baked ricotta cheesecake with raspberries (delicious); cherry strudel (not sure, haven't tried it); and roti pancakes with cinnamon and condensed milk (v. nice although i would have liked a bit more condensed milk on the bottom layers). All in all - a yummy brunch!

Several orange mushrooms appeared in the moss in the yard. Looks like a millipede was able to try for a snack, it is not all the way out of the ground yet.
Its going well so far, lost a few pounds in weight as well. 👍
Muesli, with fresh fruit and a tiny teaspoon of demerara sugar, semi skimmed milk as well lol
I was in Texas for Valentine's Day, so Kara and I had a post-Valentine's brunch. Beignets, unbelievable fondue, Almond Croissant french toast with fresh cream and apple compote, and buttermilk waffles with fresh syrup and spiced banana. And she had coffee.
An attempt to eat mainly plant-based food. To begin with cutting off all red meat, not that I ever was a great carnivore, but gradually I'd like to eat more veggies, fruits, beans and nuts and eliminate completely meat of any sort. I will, however continue, for the time being, to eat fish and occasionally chicken. I do hope I will start to feel more energetic on such a plant-based diet.
Any suggestions, my friends ?
I lived out of the microwave for like, two days. Fuck that noise.
Grilled pesto tofu, red flannel hash from Vegan brunch, strawberries with agave and mint, and collards with garlic.
Simple flat bread sandwich, made with flat bread, smoked salmon, fried egg, tomato, blue cheese, saute spinach and avocado.
