You are invited to stay and browse through my stream. Here's a quick index to my little corner of Flickr:

Automobile Photographs: This is a very large collection of images whose primary, but not exclusive, focus is on American automotive classics. Images are organized by decade, by manufacturer, and by topics (such as convertibles, station wagons, muscle cars, etc.)

Central Illinois (except Springfield): Central Illinois (except Springfield): Photos relating to the middle section of the "Land of Lincoln" (except for the Capital City of Springfield) may be found in this collection. Every city and town I've photographed is contained within its own set, and rural (as in "counrtyside") photographs are grouped by county.

Springfield, Illinois: All of my photographs of Springfield and the Abraham Lincoln Sites are in this collection. For the City of Springfield, there are separate sets for the Capitol Complex, Downtown (including the Old State Capitol), Neighborhoods, Parks, Illinois State Fairgrounds (and past State Fairs), and more. Photographs of Lincoln sites include the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, Lincoln Home National Historic Site, Lincoln Tomb, and so on. Also in the Lincoln "All About Abe" (Set) are a few Lincoln sites not located in Springfield.

The Illinois State Fair: My collection of photographs of the Illinois State Fair. The fair offers something for everyone. Grab a corn dog and lemon shake-up, and come take a look!

Beyond Central Illinois: Other locales in the United States and Canada including New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Seattle.

In addition to my location-based sets, here are links to some "topical" collections and sets I've put together:

Barbers & Barber Shops: Traditional barbers and barber shops are on the endangered species list. But there are still plenty to be found if you go looking for them.

Almost Everything Else. Check It Out!!!: Included topics range from man's first walk on the moon to small town schools and churches, and from Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers (our favorite breed) to things that are abandoned, neglected, weathered, or rusty.

On the homepage of Myspace.com, there's an advert to draw your attention to the 'Browse' feature of the site. It's pretty funny, the animation shows a cartoon girl, then guy, then when 'both' is selected, it shows a drag king! Awesome!

I think that that this is Verticordia plumosa but there are about 100 species of Verticordia in the South-West of Western Australia. What a great place to go bush-walking.

while preparing for an upcoming fashion shooting i was browsing through my archive looking for landscape pictures with a winter related theme. the idea is to use these as backdrops for the model. not yet sure how well this will work out. the future will tell. anyway while browsing around in some very old images i have come across a few images i have shot many years ago. long long before i knew the tiniest bit about photography. three of these images are shot with a very very old sony cybershot point and shoot cam (DSC-P150) with 7.2 megapixel. so i did some very very quick editing and i thought the images look kind of nice with a bit of contrast and some little curves adjustments. during this process the images started to grow on me and i had the ideal of bringing them all together in a square collage type of thing. so here we are. just fooling around ... and it's fun

I have not been around very much of late due to health problems but yesterday I was browsing through some of the groups to which I used to submit photos. I came to view the group: Quality -- Best of the Best--(Invitation ONLY). I was saddened to learn that Mac Mc Shutter made his transition last February. I had wondered many times why he was not posting pictures and was very concerned.

I found that Jeff Clow had left a message for us which I appreciate very much. When I was brand new on flickr Mac was my first mentor. He could be gruff, as others have noted, but he was a straight shooter and I always appreciated his advice. I remember how excited I was when I first had a picture accepted on QUALITY! I also remember that when messed up a when attempting to post an invitation he made sure I got every word right.

His balcony was his window to the world of birds which he photographed so masterfully. I will miss him and his art and his presence on flickr. He was one of the most sincere and helpful people I have ever met here.

As I grew more and more at home on flickr Mac did not comment very often, but would sometimes fave one of my images and that always meant a lot to me. I will never forget him. May his soul's journey be blessed.

elcome to the biggest show in the classic calendar! Come and meet our VIP guest Frankie Chili, or browse the

autojumble, marvel at the restorations, hear the bikes fire up at the GP paddock, enjoy the Classic Dirtbike

demos, or just have a great day out...

If you want all that’s best in the world of modern classic motorcycling then you cannot afford to miss the 21st

Carole Nash Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show. Held over the weekend of October 18-19, the show promises

to be the best ever!

There’s a top guest of honour, all the stands, traders and autojumble that could help finish your latest project,

some brilliant bikes on display as well as clothing stands, food, fun and laughter with your biking mates.

Topping the bill is Pierfrancesco Chili, known as ‘Frankie’ by his legion of adoring fans. The genial Italian’s

career stretches back to the 1980s, with spells in 500cc Grands Prix, 250 GPs and World Superbikes. He is

remembered for winning the controversial Misano 500cc race in 1989, which was held in wet conditions and with

many of the top riders refusing to race. However, he is best known for his passion and determination in the

WSB races of the 1990s and early 2000s, where he was one of the pacesetters in a time when the series could

boast riders of the calibre of Carl Fogarty, Aaron Slight, John Kocinski, Anthony Gobert and Simon Crafar.

Stafford showWhile Chili is the special guest – the real stars of the show are you and the bikes you bring to

exhibit. Around 30,000 of you visit the show and at the many club stands you’ll see the very best of bikes from

the 1960s through to the 1990s.

It isn’t just club stands: the event takes place (as ever) at the Staffordshire County Showground and features

more than 900 trade stands and autojumble plots to help you find that elusive part.

Don’t forget the live action arena, Bonhams auction and other events yet to be announced.

Attracting the crowds as usual will be the Classic Dirt Bike Experience with the Owd Codgers trials demos, as

well as the roar of many famous racing motorcycles in the Classic Racer GP Paddock.

What IS new for 2014 is the Cavalcade, which will take place in the Main Arena. Bikes from 1960 through to the

very present day will be part of the cavalcade on both days, at 11am and 2pm. Any form of motorcycle will be

welcome – from race to road, custom to cruiser, special to rat bike or military to miscellaneous.
